The correct information on both google and your website would have been appreciated. Both stated a closing time of 5pm, on a Wednesday, however at 2pm when I arrived the shop was very closed with roller door down. A wasted journey and 1.5hrs in traffic lost out of my day. Pretty disgusted, if they can’t pay attention to the small detail of shop hours dread to think what they do with customers items. Don’t bother going here!!

If only all customer facing people could be this good.
Walked in with a broken Gucci watch, he opened it up, had a quick look and said leave it with me. I came back a few hours later. Everything was working fine. Such a lovely man. A total Gent. 10 out of 10!!

While I waited Mr Laucher replaced 2 batteries, fitted 2 new watch straps and explained why my mechanical watch had stopped working. Run of the mill stuff to him but I was really pleased with the service I received.

This shop is an amazing experience in itself, it’s as if I step back in time every time I walk through the door. The shop is an Aladdins cave full of beautiful old clocks, photos, handmade dress jewellery and clock makers tools and equipment. I love the many layers this shop has and although small in size, I could literally spend all day just looking about in there. The old antique display cabinets are full of conversation pieces and I can feel the rich history of the shop soak into my bones. Mr Laucher is like Father Time, he is a kind gentle man who is the master of his trade. His knowledge and expertise in his area in second to none. He is the best at what he does because he does things the old fashioned way. Whereby, he will take your item, give you a beautiful hand written receipt and then lovingly restore your item back to working order. He takes his time because he works alone and likes to make sure everything is done properly. He is the last true shop keeper and although he is too modest to realise it. He could honestly charge people an entry fee if he wanted to, as so many people would just love to experience being in that unbelievable place. But he doesn’t charge an entry fee because he is just so nice and a true gentleman.

I've been using R. Laucher's service for years. He has always provided an excellent service at a very reasonable price. He has even advised me when he thought work was not required. When I'm asked for a watch repairer I always recommend him.
