An absolutely great wedding venue if the weather is nice and it was on this day. Has lots of other facilities such as glamping that others said was good. Plenty of space for long walks. Only lost one star due to the road access that was bumpy and narrow if you can live with that (our large chauffeur cars struggled) then you’ve got the five stars. Loved it very different.

Camped here for one night, during which loud music was played by other campers and although brought to the attention of the staff, was not addressed. No hot water in any showers in the morning. Having complained after our stay the staff were rude and unprofessional when handling the complaint.

The lake for paddle boarding is wholly inappropriate being only 0.5m deep and full of weeds, debris and tyres. Most definitely not worth £10 per person.

Would not recommend staying here or using the paddle board lake

Me and my family stayed there for one night and it was beyond disgusting. The tents had minimal bedding and very obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while as there were huge spiders in them when we arrived. The hot tub smelt like sewage water when we woke up the next morning so the kids weren't allowed in it . Also the gas hob did not work when i tried to use it. The only nice thing about this glamping site was the nice open field that surrounded it. Overall it was a disappointing stay.

Had a fantastic stay at Grendon Lakes in the glamping huts. We had a group of 25 and the team couldn't have been more helpful in setting up the perfect birthday weekend. The site is fantastic, with plenty to do and comfortable tipis to stay in. Definitely recommend and looking forward to my next stay! Thanks everyone at Grendon Lakes for making it a fantastic birthday weekend.

This place could be outstanding. The grounds and setting are lovely however the facilities and lack of concern from the owners makes for a pretty ropey site. The toilet block (only one) was grotty with no locks, cobwebs and unreliable showers.
The clubhouse and bar are only open at weekends. There are showers (which are lovely) in the clubhouse but we could only use them after the watersports and when we did they were full of washing from the glamping tents! This seems to be where the owners put their energy. The weddings and glamping seem to get good reviews. The campsite falls well short.
We did have a good week as we made the most of what's on offer in the area and we were with great friends. We recommend Irchester Park, the splash park at Wellingborough, swimming in the River Nene near Oundle and booking into the watersports through Extreme Wake run by another family on site. We did paddleboarding and the aqua park. This was well run and the family were very friendly.
I think that the campsite has potential but when people camp these days they expect the owners to be visible and available, good shower and toilet facilities, an onsite shop and children's play area.
The clubhouse is a gift and should be open all week from June to August. Surely then the place would be buzzing. If you just want a field and no facilities go here. Holiday saved by the fact that we did lots of fun things with fun friends.

This was our first experience of touring, on first impression the site was lovely and looked very peaceful. We drove to the club house to check in, I was given a EHU pitch on Gerald's pond, I said it was our first time experiencing it all, I wasn't told where to have my car or which side to keep, wasn't informed of the waste point. We parked up and got set up, as I was unsure of spacing ect I went back to the club house and asked, I was greeted by a different lady who was a lot more pleasant, she advised there was no one else booked on and I would be fine. The grounds are lovely and very picturesque. It looks very tired in places, the dome overlooking the lake, the club house and the toilet cubicle. We used the aqua park on site which my kids loved and £20 an hour I thought was reasonable, we visited Irchester Country park and its beautiful well woth a visit. There is a tesco about 12 minutes drive away which is handy, there are lots of little country parks around if you want to go out.
The toilet cubicles were disgusting and this isn't because of the owners this is because of other campers not having any respect for others, there are toilets rolls provided which were shoved in one toilet so it was overflowing with toilet paper! Point of that is? There was things left floating in the toilets because ladies couldn't be bothered to flush them! yes they do have spiders in but i expect that its an outside toilet block. If i was the owners i wouldnt provide toilet paper, people wouldn't put a whole roll of their own toilet paper in a toilet and block it up! There was a family with 2 dogs next to us, I also had a dog. My dog was tethered up or on a lead at all times. These dogs were not, while you could see they were friendly it caused a nuisance to my dog, they were running over to my van and awning causing my dog to bark. It states that dogs should be on leads, I feel the owners should be monitoring it better, my baby nearly picked up poo that hadn't been picked up! The club house is only open at certain times and said it offered ice creams light snacks and drinks. My children went up to get ice cream and they didn't have any, we hadn't planned on using the club house but it would have been nice if they had the things they advertised. If you want to go away and just be in your van or tent this is a lovely place to stay except the toilet facilities. It's a very minimalist site. I'm happy with how our first trip planned out

Recently we spent a weekend camping at Grendon Lakes with some friends.
The site is set in 20 acres of the very picturest Northants countryside.
Grendon Lakes is comprised of 12 lakes, with 2 been used for watersports and 10 are for fishing.
You can paintball or do some water sports which do have to be prebooked online.
The clubhouse overlooks the main watersports lake and inside you'll find a fully licensed bar and restaurant which is open Friday to Sunday, it also holds Wedding in a permanent marquee.
The cost to camp is reasonable priced and the pitch size is good and that concludeds the positives.
Sadly however the shower/toilet block is disappointingly small with limited hot water for showers and only one sink for washing up!! which is just not adequate to cater for all the campers.
Even though there is a policy that noise level should be kept to a minimum after dusk, this is sadly not inforced as lould music was heard played till after 2am.
There is dog kennel close by so you can hear the echoy sounds of the dogs barking most of the time.
So to conclude with some investment improving the facilities and enforcing their policies it would be a an outstanding site that more people can enjoy.

Went here for an evening igloo dining. Great fun and the igloos made for a fantastic atmosphere. Food was lovey and service was great.
