Me and Hannah cannot thank you enough, us both and the guests all loved the taste of the cakes, the design of the cake looked amazing and Communication throughout was outstanding.
Thank you once again!.. love Joel & Hannah x
Initially we were very impressed with Sarah.
Covid hit in between booking, and our wedding.
As we approached the wedding date, we couldn’t get hold of Sarah. To the point of me contacting other cake makers to see if they could fulfil our wishes.
As far as I was aware we didn’t have a design finalised and nailed on.
Apparently we did. And it was the same as a cake she had done previously. That was news to me.
Sarah was very blunt and almost obstructive when discussing this.
In the end we pretty much gave up on the idea of having a cake we genuinely wanted and could say we were happy with.
The design was slap dashed.
The cake topper looked like it had been frisbee’d in from across the room.
We left flowers, at Sarah’s request, to put around the cake - This didn’t happen.
And to top it off. The colour was wrong.
The cake tasted nice.
But so do Mr. Kiplings.

Interesting response Sarah;
The date of our wedding didn’t change, it never changed at all. We count ourselves as one of the very lucky couples who didn’t have to rearrange.
I remember our consultation very clearly, specifically you saying you only take on one wedding cake a week so you can give it all of your attention. However you dropped our cake off early, so that you could take another cake to a wedding fayre.
The venue was set up the day before for our wedding. With flowers left there for our cake. We picked them specifically. The venue were aware.
And we did have another consultation, via video call, which you charged us £50 for.
Cake tasters were lovely, fast responses to emails, was lovely meeting you to talk about our design. You helped up so much when me and Nath had 0 idea what we wanted.
Cake was simple (at our request) but beautiful, with the use of real flowers.
Guests enjoyed both flavours, as did we. I don't like fudge, yet I scoffed down slices of the chocolate fudge tier 😂
Thank you again for everything & we will be recommending you to friends and family.
First of all, Sarah is ace! So easy to talk to and over-flowing with ideas for your one-off design. Your appointment to walk through your design and flavours is a joy - expect a huge pot of tea and an assortment of her amazing cakes to try, all in the comfort of her home bakery. You might want to skip lunch on that day!
After agreeing our design and creating flavours that we would never have even thought of, Sarah then took the reigns to liaise with our florist and ensure those finishing touches were perfect.
Sarah was at the venue early to set up, the finished article looked perfect, and the taste was amazing (a great indicator being that nothing was left by the end of the night!).
But don't stop there.... Take Sarah up on her offer of edible favours too. We ordered cake shots which Sarah individually boxed to match our decoration scheme. They were a huge hit with everyone!
If you have your own special celebration coming up, don't hesitate to contact Eat My Muffin Bakery - you really won't regret it.
Thank you Sarah so much. Dan & Tracey x
