I can't recommend Limitless Float enough after a great first visit yesterday. I've floated a few times years ago when I lived elsewhere and was really pleasantly surprised to discover that there's now a place in Southampton!

The experience from start to finish was great. Easy to book online and what a good idea to have the necessary forms online so you don't spend five minutes on a clipboard when you arrive! The place is easy to find, close to the city centre, and there were clear instructions on parking so I got parked for free right outside.

Gemma met me at the front desk and was just lovely, walking me through the whole process and putting me at ease. Everything has been thought of and I was away and floating in no time. My neck and shoulders are very stiff so I made use of the option to use a little floating support behind my head, which is a really helpful idea. I appreciated the few minutes of music that start and end the float, and also how easy it is to turn the light on and off as you wish. I had it on for about half the time and really enjoyed it both ways. It honestly felt like I was in there for about 20 minutes, it flew by!

After I showered I headed to the little relaxation room and had some water, declining a herbal tea although it's a really nice touch. The room is beautiful and it was great to chat to Gemma again before I left.

I've written a mammoth review because I know that float tanks are new to a lot of people and I hope it's reassuring to know how well organised everything is, so you can just focus on relaxing into the float. I'm also a pretty anxious person so I like knowing I'm going somewhere with a well planned setup :) I can't wait to go back sometime soon - I felt so chilled out afterwards and my muscles were really relaxed, even those obstinate shoulders. Thanks for a great experience!

A peaceful enough experience once I got settled but, if you want feedback (which you said you did in your email but you only gave this public option) it needs several things;
- free parking (rather than a parking app that didn’t work stressing you out before you started!)
- toilets! Having the only toilets outside in another building was a big negative. What if you need it while in the water (especially if pregnant) what if you need it straight after you come out the water, due to change in temperature like I did? What if you are on your monthly and need a hygiene bin before or after the experience? No bin of any kind in the changing room. Not good. Must be planned by a male!!!
- if you get a drip of the salty water in on your face or in your eyes you’re supposed to spray fresh water in your eyes. This doesn’t solve the problem! Still need to dry / wipe face with a towel, this could be hanging over the edge or something. Luckily I did this as I’d brought my own extra towel; highly recommended.
- sound/music option. It’s all very well having it as silent experience but we are not all the same and the welcoming / calming wishing water and soft music player at the beginning should be there as an option for some for the whole time, like the lights are an option.
- the light on/off button needs to be much easier identified, either a tiny glow or a texture to find it easier in the pitch black and it needs 2 brightness options as when you first put it on it’s much too bright after the dark. Needs a one push very soft-glow option and a double push brighter option.
- water to drink in the room
- an option to light the room more when you get out as I was dressing in a tiny dim light and couldn’t really find anything - tricky when they tell you to be quick!!

I’m just frustrated that for such a modern new experience so many of these details have not been thought about. Once I was settled the actual experience was good but these above things lessened the pleasure of the experience.

It was mine and my partners first time Floating and I can say that it was a very pleasant experience, I was very surprised how I floated straight up before I could fully lay down, thought I would have sunk 😁 for those fearing you may sink/drown if you fall asleep there is no chance of that, one because the water is not that deep and two if you just lay still you just keep floating, the first 10mins of relaxation music is lovely and then the silence is even better as your thoughts just drift off to a happy place.
I had wished 5 mins after getting in I had taken the neck/head support float in as I did feel a bit of discomfort in my neck and upper shoulder area but after 10mins it passed and I can say after having neck massages over the last year to help with tightness in my neck and not being able to fully look to the left or right I certainly could afterwards, so I am one happy person.
I do feel that when I go again the experience will be even better as I know what to expect and will relax even more into it.

Thank you Jarrod for all your kind help over the phone with explaining everything and car parking and to Josh who explained it all again on the day and even put the other lights on for me prior to going in the pod as once I take my glasses off I can’t focus very well in the dark, but by time I got out they had adjusted and I’d worked out where everything was.

Definitely doing it again

This was my first float session, it went very quick! Initially an hour seems a long time but it's over so quickly. I made a couple of silly mistakes one was that I forgot to put my phone on silent and the other was not to dry my face after the shower which ended up me in the tank trying to wipe the drops of my face with my hand which in turn then ended up getting the pod water in my eye and it can sting, I used the fresh water spray bottle to rinse my eyes which worked fine for me, the chap on the door was very helpful and explained everything I needed to know, I was called 5 mins prior to let me know they was ready for me and at the end of the session my shoes and a glass of water was waiting for me in the post float room. I really enjoyed the session and I will be going back, i didn't think I would relax but all of a sudden the music came on to let me know the session was over. It is a strange sensation it takes time to relax and adjust to floating but at one point I felt like I was very slowly going round in a circle and you feel weightless.

Very relaxed and unique experience. If your in the hampshire/Dorset area. This is a must atleast once!

I was initially very nervous and confused about how it all worked. But I think it was josh, seemed to explain it all very well. Afterwards I was happy and relaxed. I'll definitely be coming back.

One piece of advise. If your new at this it's worth trying the neck float for extra support. You can always throw it out the pod if you end up not needing it.

First time floating and it was great, went quick, I chose to have the music on throughout the sesson (didnt want to feel alone) kept the pod door open as I have anxiety and the thought of being 'closed in' scares me. Having a shower and getting undress then shower then dressed in dim light was a little tricky, maybe there was a button to press for the lights to be on? Next time I hope to close the pod as with the lights in the pod im sure it would be better. The post glow i noticed in my face. The man who greated me was fab and so helpful.

Best float centre around. Friendly staff. Very clean. Bought myself a float gift voucher and it made todays float just that bit more extra special - as it was a gift to be grateful for rather than just going for a float. GRATITUDE ❤️❤️

This was my second time at limitless float and it was just as good as the first time!
I definitely felt more relaxed than the first time since I knew what to expect from the float. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The chill out room was lovely and the complimentary herbal tea is great.
I would highly recommend going here!
