Nice peaceful space for a stroll anytime of day, plenty of deer and bird life for the observant.

Nice peaceful & tranquil place to go take a walk etc. Lots of wildlife to be seen if you look carefully plus thankfully; given the fact that it's a reserve, no dogs to upset the balance of wildlife & leave the normal tell tail deposits that owner seem to not feel obligated to pick up. Jan '14 was staggering to see how the water levels were up so high that the whole area was under a considerable amount of water? Guess it just goes to show how & why we need the water meadows kept intact to keep flooding down in surrounding areas?

Nice and quiet place to go and get away from the traffic and kids screaming

Lovely nature reserve. Spotted loads of wildlife in the 2 hours we were there. Very peaceful with the clear water of the Itchen flowing through the reserve. Will definitely be going back. Closest car park is 50m away and is free on Sundays and PHs. No toilets though. No dog walking allowed either which I think encourages more wildlife.

Peaceful little nature reserve-took about 40 minutes to leisurely stoll around. Because no dogs are allowed in the reserve you do get a better opportunity to spot wildlife

It's a nice little nature reserve but because of its close proximity to town it is abused. Some people walk there dogs here when they shouldn't, and some people swim here which they shouldn't. It's a reserve for nature, not for swimming.
