Just completed this superb course. Very impressed with the Wine Scholar Guild country specific course and online content to back up the class experience. I was waiting and looking forward to the launch of the new Spanish wine program. I was also new to the West London Wine School and needed to travel from Cambridge, but it was worth it. The course was presented by Jimmy and he was outstanding in delivering with passion and enthusiasm the course content, the wonderful and extensive range of wonderful wines to taste, accompanied by different Spanish cheeses, cold meats, paella, padron peppers, etc. to match each region. I also learned a lot and was well prepared for the exam this week. I will sign up for further Wine Scholar courses, led by Jimmy at the West London Wine School, starting with France next year and then Italy. If you are interested, like or love wine you will enjoy one of Jimmy's courses. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend.

An amazing school, one of the most in depth and also easy to understand I have yet to find. They also do amazing tastings of popular and unheard of wines alike. I highly recommend, Jimmy is an amazing teacher.

I thoroughly enjoyed attending the 1 day SSA Sake Introduction Course - a whole day of interesting lectures, a delicious 2 course meal and a unique and varied selection of sake to taste, with friendly students and a fantastic tutor - really a perfect day! Sarah has a wealth of knowledge for sake, and her passion and expertise made the day really enjoyable. I finished the day having learned so much, and I would definitely recommend this course. Looking forward to learning more with West London Wine School!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Introduction to sake tasting class. I was studying the WSET level 1 in sake at the time online and this was such a help with understanding the different types of sake. Sarah is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about sake and as a result I have been inspired to become a member of the BSA and book more courses to expand my own knowledge. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this place. I did the World of Wine virtual tasting which was an eight week course. I decided to do the virtual tasting because of other commitments, but it was excellent. They post the wines a few days before and you can watch the recordings back, which I did when I missed a week. I have since done two in-person sessions - northern Spain and wine & cheese. Sam was the tutor for the world of wine and the wine & cheese and was brilliant. I have since booked a few more courses and am looking forward to them hugely.

We are wine lovers my husband and I. Together we attended numerous wine tastings in many regions globally - so we do enjoy the magic behind making wine!

He booked us on this “WSET Level 1 Award in Wines” 1-day-full-time course that also outputs a certificate if you pass exam with 70%+. It’s an official education certificate, issued by the WSET.

Our lecturer was a pleasant chap named Sam, who made the experience an absolute delight, and time just went by too quickly! Sam is deeply knowledgeable, a true Wine connoisseur, but such a nice approachable cool person, and such a good teacher!

Level1 Foundation will have learning topics such as grape varieties and chemical process and the detail on how different inputs affect output, not only grape variety but terrain where it’s grown, weather differences, and the human influence on process, manually stopping fermentation before its end or adding other components

It all was a very practical course where you prove theory in your mouth, and that is what was fabulous about the entire experience!

Received the email that I passed, awaiting my cert on the post! And thinking about going for level2 and other levels …

Introduction to wine testing day course.
Had a fantastic day with Jacintha. Clear and easy explanation of wines and very practical information on how to pair wine and food.
Jacintha was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all questions very clearly. Great energy and fun introduction to wine testing. A lovely day! Would highly recommend!
