Wine, cheese pairing and knowledge. Very friendly, very reasonably priced. Sumptuous supper rooms downstairs for hire. Originally an emporium for tea and coffee, the shop only moved 4 months ago to pall mall but private clients can still go to the widows old shop on St. James's.

It's a shame the star rating can't be higher as I was really impressed with BB&R.
From the outside one could get the impression this is a pretentious place where only the well heeled would frequent, how wrong you would be.
This is long established business dating back centuries, the approachable and lovely staff are very knowledgeable and willing to answer the simplest of questions while having the experience to advise the most experienced sommeliers.
It's a long time since I felt so welcomed in a store without the pressure for a sale, but as this is such a fine wine shop with an amazing variety it seems a shame to visit and not to take something to quaff back at home :-)).
Brilliant brilliant place :-))))

Charming and packed full of history this is a must for great wines and spirits. We were lucky enough to have a small tour of the cellars and events spaces that were so unique and interesting. The range of wine in their store is vast with something for everyone and every price range. Will return

A wonderful shop with a very high quality service. We could even try one of their perspective series blends for free. Was surprised to see so much wine as I knew BBr only from whisky but their wine selection is also impressive. The whisky one is beautiful!

Great selection of wine. Terrible and lazy delivery drivers. Poor customer service that doesn't remedy the lazy delivery drivers (albeit they are always very nice on the phone). If you go into the store and not have wine delivered I would recommend them. If you want to be disappointed multiple times, get the wine delivered.

Famous old wine shop, also selling spirits and liqueurs. I love the atmosphere of this place and the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was busy on a Tuesday lunchtime on December, which added to the atmosphere. Cam away with a couple of bottles of what I hope will be nice red wine for Christmas. If you're not a wine expert, and I'm certainly not, don't worry about being made to feel shy in a place like this. Staff are there to help, and do it very well. Everything I've ever bought here (wines between 10 and 30 pounds per bottle) has been great, so you can't go wrong really.

Amazing historical wine merchant store, it is the destination for all wines and whiskies lovers. Staff, Emma, is incredibly friendly and helpful on explaining the history of Berry Bros. & Rudd. There is a scale used to weight dry goods, like coffee beans. Afterwards many members of Royal and VIP came to use it, A wooden chair was then added. It is Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, having traded from the same shop since 1698. Today the company also has offices in Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, a Wine School and an exclusive fine wine and dining venue in London's St James's. They are honoured to hold two Royal Warrants for H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. There is a retail store situated at 63 Pall Mall.

Excellent selection of choice wines and spirits, with some rate varieties.
Staff knowledgeable to assist. Worthy of a visit.
