It was a pleasure to purchase excellent wines from Amathus. The staff was really friendly and shared their expertise to recommend some wine that would pair up with my raclette. Louis was extremely helpful and the wine he suggested was a delight! Thank you Louis!

Really really really great place to find almost anything you need alcohol wise. Well laid out store, extremely helpful staff. Interesting history as it started as a stand alone family run off licence in the sixties on that very site before in moved around 30 years ago and then returned about 3 years ago to its spiritual home like some sort of phoenix.

I asked for a classic, traditional british beer. I wanted some for my dad who loves beer but never been in the UK. I asked for help, as I was in the hurry. When I came home and read the labels, I found out that each beer I bought have citrus notes, orange or papaya - veeery far from traditional beers. I have never been that disappointed buying alcohol. My dad hates any flavourly beers, he likes only the traditional ones so all of it is going to waste. Good wine though.

Top notch wine and spirits merchant. The most impressive range of whisky I have seen outside of a specialist whisky merchant and over 200 gins!

Came here for the first time the other day and was impressed by the massive selection of alcoholic drinks. Their craft beer selection was great, with some interesting beers from the US. Definitely best place in Muswell Hill to get your craft beers.
