You couldn't be in better hands with you yoga practice than Caroline and Graeme's!

I came to the studio as a beginner and both instructors have really helped me to deepen my practice. There is a great range of classes depending on your ability level and what you're aiming for in your yoga. The classes never have more than 10 people in so you always get any help needed to be able to make the most out of each posture. They give stages of postures too so you can work to the best of your ability regardless of the stage you're at.

There's a great atmosphere in the classes and people of all age ranges attend. I've got to know some lovely people through the classes!
If you're a bit nervous about going (like I was at the beginning) then the beginners courses they offer are a great foundation to build on.

I really can't rate this yoga studio high enough!

I have been practicing yoga with Caroline for a few years now, and I cannot thank Caroline enough for her patience, grace… and delightful sense of humour. The classes are fun and challenging… her extensive knowledge and understanding of yoga from years of practice and teaching are a gift for those who are open to wanting a greater understanding as well as physical and spiritual development. Can’t recommend Caroline and Graeme enough, both are so very much appreciated.

A little place of sanctuary. Caroline is an excellent instructor - just the right balance of encouragement, humour and strictness. I feel like I am learning so much and improving all the time. 10/10

I was a complete beginner at yoga and started classes at The Heart of Yoga about 8mths ago. I started with Back Care and subsequently attended beginner courses and Yin. I have also had a number of one-on-one sessions with Graeme. Both Graeme and Caroline have been fantastic throughout all the sessions I have attended. I often hear other more experienced customers comment how this is the best studio they have ever attended so I feel lucky to have chosen this studio to start my journey.
Graeme has been so supportive in both my one on ones and whenever he sees me at the studio. The level of interest shown by both Graeme and Caroline in each and every customer is admirable and this is complimented by first class teaching in every class - they really know their stuff! The other thing I really enjoy is their sense of humour, this has made my time at the studio great fun both in and out of the classes and I know others in my classes feel the same. I would strongly recommend giving The Heart of Yoga a try!!

I came for a drop in class and was aggressively berated by Graeme about my need to read the instructions (you have to register) on the web site. He had a point, I should have read the instructions, but the level of aggression was not normal - I have never been to the shala before. I was also, bizarrely I think, asked if my not reading his instructions meant I was going to "be trouble in the class"?!!? Again, not a normal question...? I decided not to stay. My advice to Graeme would be to practice pranayama as well the asanas and learn to calm down a little. I am sure the yoga is fab.

I have practiced yoga before and with other instructors and my experience by far was the worse here. I have never written a google review either but I was left in tears after my experience here and so I feel its important for other to know what they're walking into. I have utter respect for the instructors at this place and the experience they have in yoga, however the male instructor I had a session with was incredibly rude, patronising and humiliated me constantly throughout the class. There was very little patience or understanding, I was threatened constantly that he would ban me from the class if i didn't follow his instructions, and I did to the absolute best of my ability. However it was my first class in this specific type of yoga and it is very intense. What was expected of me was completely unfair, I went to this class to learn not to be bullied. He also made remarks that if my posture was not right I might hurt myself and my parents would come in to have a word with him. Not only was it said in an incredibly belittling and patronising way but it also felt so insensitive as someone who has been estranged from their family and essentially living like an orphan. While, I don't expect him to know this, the tone and the way you interact with other is the least that I can expect of another person, especially if I'm paying for their time. He made it out as though I did not want to listen to him and that I wasn't interested in being there, however I work two jobs alongside university and still I decided to pay for these classes for the betterment of my physical and mental health. Hence, fully participating in the session is important to me because I work so hard to make the money that I pay for the session/s.

I will reiterate, I have the utmost respect for my instructors knowledge and experience with yoga, and completely understand if something occurs that may put my physical health at risk, then he must warn me. However, there is a way to speak to people especially if they're giving you their time and hard worked money, but even on a general human level, you should never speak to anyone the way I was spoken to. I left the place in tears and was distressed for several days afterwards and so decided just now that I will no longer be going and have cancelled any other remaining classes.

I have been going to the Heart of Yoga Studios for several years now. I have attended the two beginners’ courses, Hatha and Back Care classes with Caroline and I am also having private lessons with Graeme.
Being a small class means that we get the full attention of our teachers. They explain asanas clearly and take the time to review and correct our postures. This is why I like going to this studio. Other places I have been to, just let you get on with the routines and do not adjust poses.
Having had a few personal issues in the past 2 years, I have found Graeme and Caroline very understanding and extremely helpful. In particular, Graeme will adapt our one-to-one sessions depending on how I am feeling (i.e. yin, restorative or more active).
I have read some of the bad reviews and I think that they are mainly the result of people not adhering to the rules of the studio.
Both Graeme and Caroline are masters of yoga. They have different teaching styles but they are both excellent. Anybody who wants to be serious about yoga should come to this studio. I highly recommend it.

A place to learn yoga properly... Im at the start of my journey but having dabbled for years at other places in Warwickshire, you can sense this is the place that will really help me achieve more in my yoga journey. It's exciting to be learning from the instructors here because they have some amazing experience and background, and bring that all here to Leamington Spa. Just finished the beginner's course (the initial 6 week one and follow up 6 week one after) and recently started to come to the other classes on offer now. The instructors really do well to help focus on grounding good technique, and building for the next improvement not just for achieving postures but much more than that - I feel like I'm in a whole new world of yoga and lucky to have found this place. Its a great place for beginners to learn the right foundations that will help really make a difference in the long-term, and get really focused advice that's really tuned in to what you need. Equally, I know because my wife goes here too and she's far into her yoga journey, that its a great place too for those who already do a lot of yoga. We both love it. Adjustments are gentle and within limits and at the same time help improve what ever the focus is. I'm currently training for a marathon and its made a world of difference to my running and my occupational hazard of back pain. Thanks Caroline and Graham!
