Akram Warm Yoga Studio

I really can't recommend Akram Yoga strongly enough. Since my first class in early January, it has become very much my home away from home. I've taken many classes with a range of different teachers, and they are all, without exception, knowledgeable, professional and welcoming, yet unique in their delivery, bringing their own style and personality to each class. Classes are structured to cater for a range of abilities, from first timers to experienced practitioners, so that everyone is able to practice at their own level. The practice areas have a calm and tranquil feel, and the studio has a really positive vibe. Whether you're new to yoga or have been practising for years, Akram Yoga is definitely worth a visit. Start by having a chat with Zahir, Laura or any of the team, and begin, or continue, your yoga journey in this wonderful studio.

Absolutely love going to the classes at Akram Yoga! The hot yoga studio is beautifully designed and helps immerse your mind and body to the present moment whilst enjoying an indulgent hour for yourself!
I highly recommend Kate’s Thursday evening (6.30pm) class! Kate articulates the sequence of poses in such a way that is easy to follow, and helps you to move into your own flow. I come away from these classes feeling super zen and at peace, and believe everyone should know about this little gem positioned in a prime location on the High Street!!

I’ve just started going to the studio - starting with the Beginners Yoga course - and I will definitely be continuing with the classes! I’ve still got one class of the course left to go … and it’s brilliant!! All the moves are explained properly and you get to understand what you are trying to achieve - all in a light hearted way. Such a great class - Zahir is brilliant and it’s fun and relaxed.

Other “beginners” classes I’ve been to - are all about the instructor being there to do the class themselves - without checking what’s going on with the wobbly newbies in the class.

I cannot rate this highly enough - and I rarely review anything! At 50 years old - I’ve got some catching up to do to avoid the hip replacement in later life - but plan on keeping the classes going here to minimise that risk!

Thanks guys - I’m looking forward to my increasingly bendy journey going forward!

(And I might give the Kettlebell class a go at some stage too!).

I have loved today' s lesson with Lynn so much that I have to write this review. She is a fantastic instructor. It was BRILLIANT! Especially the meditation at the end.

Amazing and beautiful place to practice, full of great teacher really interested in your progress and knowledgeable. Classes are always fun, I always leave this place recharged and relax.

I love Akram Yoga, I chose to complete my 200 hour Yoga teacher training with them and I was blown away by the expert knowledge of the teachers who made it fun, interesting and challenging throughout. I highly recommend this great studio.

Attended my first Yin Yoga session at Akram Yoga yesterday evening in a lowly lit studio that was just a perfect place for such a class. A beautiful experience expertly guided in a down to earth way by Zahir Akram. The love, calmness and joy was so very evident in the room at the end of the 2 hours which flew by!

Thank you to Zahir and Emma for 2 amazing classes. So well explained and such variety of postures and flow. . Great centre and facilities, I would be there every day if I lived in Surrey! I will revisit when I can, fantastic experience!
