St. John's Head Real Ale House

I've been here only once before and absolutely loved it. Such a friendly pub to drink at. I caught a football game here and everyone was in such lovely spirits :)
I never realised it was a Samuel Smith pub until I left otherwise I would have got the beers on tap. Really good other drink selection though. Lots of fun!

Swift half here en route to the railway station. Lovely little place.. . A proper pub... Will definitely come back next time here... Hopefully next Bank Holiday

Friendly atmosphere, great choice of music of all genre's on the jukebox, and friendly staff. I would have given five stars, however, the lack of cleanliness of the toilets let the overall experience down. We have visited this pub several times over the years, and the toilets really need attention.

Brilliant for real ales but if you're looking for a draught beer other than kronenbourg, fosters or Carling. Then this is not you're place. Atmosphere is always great and the barstaff will always give you a warm welcome.

I called in here last week on the way back to the station. I was impressed with the selection of bottled ales on view all around the pub, so many in fact that I was grateful that the owner was able to guide me with his knowledge to a couple that went down a treat.

Choice of 50 or so different bottled beers, all brewed in the local area. Owner is very helpful and knowledgeable when choosing your beer.

Good place to spend a warm sunny August afternoon.
