Upon checking in at the hotel, I was welcomed kindly and professionally by the receptionist (a French lady with impeccable English). The boutique rooms are small but decorated and furnished with a lot of taste; large suitcases might be an challenge though. The bed is very comfortable and there is a choice of pillows for your comfort.
I would have offered 5 stars to this hotel had I been able to sleep on a weekend morning : from 8am the doors creaked open and banged closed non stop. When I finally went to see who was responsible for this unnerving racket, I realised I was next to a room being cleaned, and that the door would creak open and bang closed each time one of the 3 housekeeping staff entered and exited. A nightmare!

Great pub to meet friends. Good atmosphere
I’ve used it before for casting a short film, they booked us a back garden space. We had it for free & that was great from the management. We had about 48 actors & actresses, so we only paid for the drinks.
I strongly recommend this place.

I came here to stay for a wedding event. The hotel is above the pub, it's a good location right on the main road. Our room was nicely decorated and spacious. I think we stayed in room 17. The shower 🚿 in the room was not very good at all no power and just a light sprinkle. The bin inside the bathroom was full up with rubbish from the previous guests not a big deal though. The TV in the room needs modernization. Slow boot up and poor remote. The pub food downstairs was nice I had fish and chips and my partner had a chicken burger which was tasty. The morning breakfast was included and was also pretty good just not as good as the evening meal. Overall a nice time and I would stay here again. Could be loud at night if you had a room over looking the street though.

Nice pub but food nothing special and very over priced. Paid around £16.50 for quite a small and very average tasting burger. Disappointed given all the other good reviews. For that kind of price I would expect an amazing burger but it fell well short.

Went for the England game. Really great atmosphere. Guinness was top notch. Staff very friendly, efficient and professional. The Scottish trout with girolles was exceptional - highest quality pub food I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

Phoned to book a table for the rugby and they said they don't let people book specific tables. Got there and the table we were given had a pretty bad view of the screen - there was another empty table free with a great view of a screen but they said bluntly "we don't allow switching tables". Not exactly accommodating/hospitable. The reason they gave was someone could have booked that table specifically - which I was told wasn't possible when I booked...

Young's Special was good and the share Ox Cheek loaded chips were delicious. Beer temperatures could be better but it's was a dead quiet day.
My dog loves the place dog treats to die for and the place to himself. He just hat to find the right place to sleep.
This place is huge back garden cellar bar and hotel upstairs well worth taking a good look around. enjoy!!

We had an amazing dinner for New Year's Eve here and I can't thank the staff enough for the wonderful reception. Finding a pub that accepts kids was a struggle, at the Brewers Inn they reserved for us a nice table in a very cosy area and we stayed until late. Perfect place for families, good food and very kind staff. Definitely recommended.
