The Kings Arms

I was looking forward to my visit to this lovely looking pub, passing through on my journey as was informed they had a pub garden, and were dog friendly, so I could bring my dog with me. It would have been a pleasant experience but the clientele in the pub were laughing and joking with the landlord about their transportation of live dogs which are bred locally, and taken to places for horrible experiments. It was very upsetting and it seems the landlord doesn't want to lose this particular '' regular'' and didn't care about my voicing my concerns. I had to leave with my dog as ruined what should have been a lovely day.

We've just had a lovely meal here. The food is home cooked, easily the best pub in town, and good quality. They are obviously trying to do something different to the standard pub fayre and they have an interesting menu and always have a couple of specials. The beers are well kept, they have a wide selection of drinks, my only quibble is the wine selection could be broader. The staff are polite and friendly, and the overall service is good. I'd avoided this place for ages as it seemed a bit of a locals only bar but I've been proven wrong, it's really welcoming

I came here with some mates to have some drinks and it was lovely. Drinks were affordable prices and the atmosphere was amazing. We were served by Louise who was very friendly and was more than happy to chat with us. Was an amazing experience and the Kings Arms has become one of my favourite pubs locally.

Great specials and a lovely menu, catering well for gluten free too! Friendly staff, that always make you feel welcome. Great to have them in Thrapston - also dog friendly ☺️

Fabulous tapas selection. Great staff. Quiz night was brilliant fun with delicious variety of tapas and drinks. Definitely recommend.
