Stopped off for Sunday Lunch and a pint during a walk. Food was lovely. Servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Food arrived very promptly. A nice atmosphere. Took a while to pay, drinks were missing from the bill and had to ask for these to be added. Would definitely return.

Another of our random pick of places to visit for Sunday roast.

Glad we choose this place as the food was amazing and the service was excellent, we will be coming back again to try the rest of the menu.

The pub itself is really nice with a good atmosphere and would love to come here in the summer.

The best Sunday lunch we've had from a pub in a long time. We were seated straight away and our food served within 15 minutes of us getting here. Great service, lovely food, nice atmosphere. We will come again!

Me and my partner came for Sunday lunch ordering the roast beef and pork with all the trimmings. How disappointed we were to find out that all the trimmings included only a spoonful of cabbage and sweet potato mash. No carrots, broccoli, sprouts, beans, parsnips, or red cabbage. Colliflower cheese and stuffing was at an extra cost of £4.95 each. Although the decor and atmosphere are lovely there is clearly a gap between the description of the dishes on the menu and what arrives on the plate.

We visited The Griffin this evening and have to say the food and service was brilliant. We arrived a little early which they accommodated no problem, the service was fantastic and the quality of food was excellent. We will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will be booking again very soon *****

Went for Sunday lunch as the reviews were brilliant. Oh how disappointed we were. We all had beef and it was to coin a phrase disgusting. The beef was hardly cooked, looked like uncooked bacon and tasted worse than that! The carrot and swede mash was so minimal it was probably served with a teaspoon and the gravy tasted like gravy granules. You can safely say I won't be frequenting this establishment again especially at £18 a meal

Lovely pub and very attentive staff. We ordered beef roll with chips and sechuan prawns with noodle salad. I chose soup to go with it
Beef was fatty and chewy 🙁
The Old Original beer was good.

Prawns (3) were fine but cold noodles not so good. The sauce tasted perfumed , I couldn't eat it.
The potato and leek soup was hot and delicious
The pint of coke was a pint of coke.
We will go back and try main course as it is such a lovely venue but lunch didn't live up to expectations
