The Oak

Our first visit.
What can I say? Angie our host was fantastic, friendly, enthusiastic and charming.
Our food was almost faultless,only criticism it was so nice I wanted a second portion.
Excellent night.oh and the music is great.many genres.

No character but clean. Very quiet during Covid. I don't imagine it would normally be quiet. Staff was not the most welcoming to a talking teddy bear, but a customer was.

The pub is opposite the 292 bus terminus, so useful is for seeing if the bus is getting ready to leave.

I've not eaten but looking at the menu and the food being shown on the videos for the pub and the faint image of a pizza on the menu, there seems to be a mismatch. I guess the menu was using a stock photograph of a pizza that is not on the menu. Shame, it looked quite good in the photo! I don't imagine this would be a gastro pub, but more standard pizza, burgers and chips.

Most reviews praising this place are years old. The place is now a dump. Service is terrible, staff are rude if they don't know you. Don't order any food, you will regret it. I just can't find one good thing to say about the place.

Very friendly pub with lovely staff. Good music and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Got to say the food is amazing. I have had their Sunday Roasts and the casserole, both dishes were homemade and very tasty. I will definitely be going back.

My partner and I was walking past after a dog walk nearby and we noticed that The Oak did a Sunday roast at a good price.
I popped in to ask if our dog was welcome into the pub and the bar staff were more than happy for us all to go in.

The pub was clean, a nice atmosphere and barstaff friendly. The lady behind the bar sorted out a bowl of water for the dog after we ordered our drinks and food.

Very impressed with the Sunday Roast!
Great price, good portions, taste great and we didn't leave hungry!

There was a Pool table so we stayed for another pint and a game of Pool.
The staff there made us feel welcome and we have decided to come back with other family members to experience a 'Great British Sunday Roast'

Love this place and love dj'ing here to an amazing happy friendly crowd and the bar staff are so good

Very friendly and lovely pub. I initially come here for the food as the chef serves a lovely afro carribian menu . Staff are lovely
