The Botanist Bar & Restaurant Lincoln

I was brought here for my birthday after hearing great things. The wait for drinks and food was a little long, but it was worth the wait. The hanging kebabs are great along with the chips. Nice selection of drinks and an amazing venue.

Absolutely delicious food, the belly pork was out of this world! Great atmosphere, amazing cocktails. Would very highly recommend

We had booked the table in advance, which was a big help as it was a busy Sunday lunch. We were seated immediately. My husband had a birthday badge on, so every member of staff we came into contact with enthusiastically wished him a happy birthday which was so lovely.
All staff were welcoming and professional.
We ordered fro the Sunday roast menu and the halloumi kebab, with a few sides.
Service speed was more than reasonable for the amount we ordered during a busy service.
Food quality was excellent.
Staff were more than happy to bring extra table condiments without extra charge.

We started our meal with two glasses of cocktails. The barman was amazing and so nice. Then, we got a hanging Kebab and a hanging shish. I liked the kebab more than the shish, however, both were delicious. The bar is so clean and everyone is friendly

Really cool atmosphere with two stories and lots of plants (not real but hey, looked real to me), cool interior design stuff and a hip and trendy vibe while still feeling cosy.

Had a vegetarian hanging kebab. It was good, but not exceptional. But good enough to want to come back if I'm ever in Lincoln again.

They also have many different drinks and a proper bar.

Also a big plus for giving excellent service, everyone was very helpful and welcoming.

Also good for people who need gluten free food.

The bar is charming. Beers on tap are great. Ordered a medium rib eye steak, it was perfect as a grilled meat but not as a steak. The cheesecake was very tasty. The service was kind and attentive.

The Botanist is a great place to go for food and a few drinks. The menu is large with lots of options for veggies/vegans. I love the Sunday roasts, they're fab quality and come with most of the trimmings. I would absolutely recommend getting the cauliflower cheese side. It tastes amazing and the cheese pull is superb. Usually, I get the halloumi hanging kebab, also a top recommend (skips the sweet chilli fries though as they can be a little too sickly sweet).

I don't think you can eat at The Botanist without getting a cocktail. They're dangerously easy to drink, but well worth the money. I'd love to visit just for cocktails in the downstairs bar area, perhaps on one of the event nights.

The staff are friendly and service is usually quick, even during busy times. Sometimes the food is on the cooler side, but it always tastes great. If it wasn't for this, I'd give the place 5 stars.

Nice food and good atmosphere. Hanging Kebab was cooked well and very tasty, bang bang sauce could have done with slightly more spice. Very enjoyable night and will be back
