Great evening out with my better half. Awesome steak night experience. Thanks to to the team, especially Tibor and Jacqueline. Highly recommended Thursday night out if you’re in need of a great steak and lovely atmosphere.

Visited for Sunday lunch, which was very average. Roast was just about warm, no choice of veg, veg on plate was 1/2 carrot & parsnip, dessert spoon of red cabbage, all covered in cheese sauce & 2 roast pots each. Apple crumble bizarrely served in teacup, but what's wrong with a bowl!? No prosecco glasses either?! Service was quite slow, & acoustics made it difficult to get the waitress attention.

Staff are friendly and provide a great service. Food is cooked perfectly and is fresh!
Of course some times with fresh food and walk ins like me, some dishes may run out which is understandable. So I recommend booking/calling ahead if you have a particular dish you would like.

Fantastic place for food, company and drinks. The staff are really friendly and provide a great service. Steak night is something out of this world with mouth watering food and an awesome atmosphere you can only get from an authentic English pub and restaurant. I can personally fully recommend the Irish Coffee too (Jackie and Adam).

Amazing pub and incredible food. We sat by the fire and had the most incredible three course dinner. Couldn't recommend it enough, staff are friendly and the food is worth travelling for

Lovely meal with my friend! Pie was delicious and our server Helen was just a joy to have! Will be coming back hopefully for dinner next!

We spent the last week in the area on a little getaway and the Chequers was a definite highlight! Wonderful food and even better service. Jackie and Helen took great care of us and even brought me a sweet birthday surprise! Another great plus for us was the fact that they are (very!) dog-friendly. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

I love the atmosphere of this place. It is so relaxing and inviting.
Especially now in winter with the fires going.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and the care that goes into making one's drink is top notch, that added made with love, makes them taste that much better!

Dogs welcome, which to me is always a big seller 🐕‍🦺

Their is wifi available but has been a bit spotty at times.
