Great little place, lovely owners and really clean and well appointed. I arrived very late (midnight) which was not a problem at all; the owners went out of their way to help and checked me in no fuss. The room was great and so clean it puts my own house to shame. Lovely breakfast bag just what was needed. Highly recommend and not expensive at all. Thank you for having me.

Went there for my daughters birthday yesterday due to recommendations from her. However the food was a total shock. The Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard and the potatoes needed a carving knife to cut them. The presentation was very poor the Yorkshire was plonked on top of the vegetables. The pate was amazing though ough

Lovely lunch at the Fox.
I had vegetarian sausages with mash, peas and onion rings. It was absolutely yummy!
My partner had fish and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Food was piping hot , well presented and very tasty.
Only slight downside was lack of fans in restaurant as it was a very hot day, but that's minor.

Went here on a Saturday used to frequent this pub when my children were learning to walk now they have left home thought we would go back and see how it was all I can say is its a warm welcome and friendly staff but the decor and general decoration of the place is very tired and needs updating urgently it's as though it's stood still and not had any money spent on it
I won't talk about the food because there nothing good to say about it.
What a shame a lovely pub with great surroundings and massive potential 😢

My cajun chicken sandwich was delightful. The chips were triple cooked and tasted out of this world. Lovely pub.

Lovely little place to stay. Rooms are set back from the pub and are quiet and clean. Lots of hot water in the shower, clean towels, tea and coffee, and a great breakfast bag for the morning.

The pub serves fantastic food which I highly recommend and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Oh Dear!
Went there on a recommendation. Positive start, friendly helpful staff, nice location, but then downhill.

Over priced drinks.

Food arrived but it appeared that someone had stolen half of it from the plates compared with any other pub nearby, Harlow, Bishop's Stortford etc etc.
Cod and chips, £15.00 plus, piece of fish was about 6 inches long 1/2 inch thick with about 8 chips. Chicken leg - leg of Sparrow would be more appropriate.

Basically half, if not less food for the same price as any other pub nearby.
Really disappointing, didnt make a fuss as it was a business lunch. 100% won't go back.

Lovely food, very welcoming and great entertainment. Enjoyed the 80s bottomless Prosecco. Highly recommended
