The Villager

Husband and I eat here regularly and the food is consistently good. Whatever you order there are no disappointments! Drinks are always good, good range and choice for everyone. Always reasonably priced. The lamb shank on daily specials tonight was superb and the banoffee pie, as always, is delicious. Highly recommend.

Roast dinner very good! Reasonably. Priced. Resturant v. Nice.
All food looked lovely.
Not a lover of bar area as often young kids sitting around climbing on settee etc. Just off putting like a kids playground.
Outside is fine when weather allows.

My first ever visit to the Villager and to say I was surprised would be an understatement. This pub ticked all my boxes. Good selection of beers(ales, lagers,ciders) a superbly varied food menu. Excellent décor and very nice front facing seating area, counted 20 tables. Their choice of music was to my taste too. Rachel, its a 👍 from me.

Extremely friendly staff and lovely food. We dined outside as it was a hot day and it was really peaceful. The only thing we did not like was the sense that we were not welcome by a table close by which I assumed were locals. Stares and overheard comments. I refrained from telling my partner at the time as that would have led to bother. Apart from that wonderful staff and food just a bit cliquey for our liking.

I had a roast pork dinner it was just so tasty . Plenty choice for children too . Will come again as my daughter lives close by .

Service was brilliant from all of the friendly staff. The food was excellent too, best we have had for ages. Would highly recommend this great pub to anybody looking for a quality, relaxing Sunday lunch experience. We will certainly be visiting again soon. 😀

Wow. Such a nice atmosphere! Came with my best friend my partner and my 2yo daughter and the staff and food were absolutely amazing. The food was so fresh and yummy. I had chicken roast and it was the best roast I’ve had out, the meat fell off the bone was so tender. Everything was perfect and the establishment with very clean especially the toilets 👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice lunch lovely food thoroughly enjoyable, we took two friends today and the Ham, Eggs and Chips was great. Thanks to Steph.
