Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent (the beef steak chilli was crafted in the fires of mordor but worth every firey mouthful). The pub and garden are lovely and well kept. Very enjoyable indeed!

Lovely country pub friendly staff & excellent food freshly cooked & unusual specials offered especially for vegetarians & vegans. Once you have eaten here you would want to keep returning well done chefs 😁

Beautifully shaded garden perfect for me and the dog. Jacket potato with chilli beef was really tasty, no skimping of any ingredients, the only reason I left some was because I was full. 100% recommended

It was OK but not the best.
Food took a long time to come out sat and ordered just after 1pm got food just after two shame as would have ordered pudding if it was not so long.
No specials and menu seemed a bit unexciting and limited.
No specials due to having a event over BH weekend we are now on Friday.
Man behind bar came cleared table did not see if we wanted deserts over all did not really feel welcomed.

The roasts were always good here, but recently they are even better. The beef is nice and blush pink. The roast potatoes are crispy and fluffy inside. You get a huge jug of gravy and a massive selection of piping hot, perfectly cooked veg. And the price is very reasonable indeed. You'll not find better value elsewhere.

Stayed here whilst walking the South Downs way and was so happy with our stay. The rooms are so lovely and clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and the food is delicious and great value for money. Highly recommend!!! By far the best place we stayed on our walk.

Our most favourite place ever for a Sunday roastie. Beautifully cooked food, plenty of choice and large portions. Lovely staff. 😍

Lovely pub, friendly, happy staff and the food is outstanding, delicious and the portions are big but the prices aren't! great value for money!
