Small and cozy with a nice crowd and great atmosphere. Dog friendly as well for those of us with four legged mates. There's even high-speed WI-FI for those that need to stay connected.

Hands down the best rotating beer selection in the area. No two visits are the same, and there is always something new and exciting to try! With an emphasis on craft beer from some of the UK's finest craft brewing innovators, this place is very unique in the area.

For the traditionalists, hand pulled cask ales from some of the best breweries in the country are sure to please. Everything is served at the perfect temperature to ensure you experience the beer at its maximum potential. Theres always a nice lager on and even a selection of alcohol free beer. With four taps, five hand pulled casks, and a fully stocked bottle, can, and cider fridge there's something to suit everyone.

In addition to beer and cider (if they aren't your tipple of choice), they also have a large selection of spirits, cocktails, and wine.

Very friendly example of the small micropub's that are now appearing in many towns. It stands on a street beside the Town Hall. (New Market Street), and is the third, of a row of three micropubs. In my opinion it is the best of the three. Very varied clientele, from architects to artists, plasterers to pianists. It is the kind of pub that unaccompanied women can go in, without having to worry about attitudes, or overtures, from the rest of the clientele.
There are often performers, mainly acoustic music, at weekends, as well as other special event evenings. The walls are lined with art from local artists, and the beer is well kept. Many beer enthusiasts, members of CAMRA on outings, call in. Licensee, Oliver Brooks, knows his ale, and keeps about ten different cask, and keg, ales, plus a fine selection of gins, and other spirits, Good wine, cider, and soft drinks are also available. A unique place, not to be missed if you are in the area.

Fantastic little establishment, the beer is always rotating and sure to be something in to suit every palate. Got a quiz on a Thursday and gets lives acts in that are always well selected and ensure a good night every time. Friendly and knowledgeable never a bad pint.
Love it 😍 the best beer in town hands down. Amazing selection of craft beers. If you want to be adventurous try some of the sours or Berliner wviess. Something for everyone. Good selection of spirits . Fruity ciders cask ales as good as you will find anywhere.

What a littlegem. Been twice over Christmas and before went thought, oh no i dont want to go to a micropub as dont like to stand drinking ale, lol! Went in on mad Friday great atmosphere and tunes . enjoyed a good boogie in the small space. Went back on a normal dead night of 27th December. I was ill with a bug so ended up on ginger ale. Anywhere else I would have gone home but everyone so lovely , nice friendly atmosphere without , so actually stayed out feeling poorly and sober . Felt like Carltons in Burnley for everyone older but still cool as owt! :):) Highly recommend and when we can come back it will definetly be a regular place to go. Keep up the good work !
