Lovely friendly staff, tables outside, this is a great traditional country pub for summer afternoons as well as cosy winter evenings.

Stopped off for a great burger dinner, one chicken and one veggie, really good hand cut chips, coleslaw and tasty fillings. Good to see a range of tasty vegetarian options (not the poor choice of two that so many pubs provide). We noticed several take-out meals were also served while we ate outside so seems a popular choice. Locally brewed Strummer ale was smashing too. Very difficult to fault.

We stumbled across this wonderful place, whilst out for a drive. Can't rate it highly enough. Staff are very welcoming. Specials menu has lots to choose from as had the dessert board. Disappointed I was too full up from my main to fit one in! We shall definitely be returning.

What a gem of a pub - visited twice whilst holidaying in the area and had fantastic meals & service on both occasions. Lovely welcoming staff. Good selection of gluten free options on the menu as well which was a real bonus. Absolutely recommend a visit!

Went for meal here for my mother’s birthday. Food was delicious and cheesecake was so light and refreshing after the delicious curry. Friendly staff definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

We had our evening meal there. This was our first visit, what a beautiful oldie worldie pub, with a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. I had the fish & chips and my partner had a curry, lovely and tasty, well cooked and medium sized portions which was just right, which was followed by icecream. We will be going back again, and really recommend it.

Booked a table for 4 without issue, nice charming period pub and restaurant, food was excellent and reasonably priced, staff were friendly and obliging, the wait wasn't too long for our meals either recommend.
