The Vine, Goudhurst

My husband and I have started going on treks in Bedbgebury and we discovered Vine when we were looking to grab a quick bite before driving home to Margate. We were very pleasantly surprised and the amazing quality of the cooking in this cozy, yet modern pub. We now make it a point to eat here every time we come down. The black pudding scotch egg is to die for and the Sunday roast was superb. The staff were also very attentive and positive (but not too attentive). We love it!

An afternoon in The Vine has been amazing and wonderful! Full of lovely people and the food is on point. I had the Potted Crab,which was exquisite and would highly recommend. A Must TRY

A must visit. Don't look anywhere further for dinner, The Vine is just fantastic.

In particular, the Stone Bass simply could not be improved. A perfectly balanced and accomplished dish - hats off to the chef.

The vine Goudhurst now has burgers on the bar menu. I wasn’t very excited until I found out gluten free burger & buns available. OMG amazing, huge, made in kitchen not a frozen rubbish - Lovely Staff, friendly service
Every other meal I’ve had at The Vine has been spot on 👌keep up the good work guys :) highly recommend.

Have to imagine they were having a really, really bad day (though we were the only diners) as this was easily the worst pub experience I've ever had. Had to leave after an hour and a half and receiving about half of our orders, all staggered throughout that time. On the plus side, I learned that an American-style hotdog is apparently a warm-ish, foot-long kielbasa on a huge baguette (perfect for any kid) and that making ribs to order is bad idea (who knew!). If you do go to The Vine and, like me, leave never haven't been served any food, the shop across the street sells crisps.

This pub is quickly turning into my new local. Friendly staff, an excellent choice of beers and superb food have me coming back. Plus we can bring our dog along so what's not to love.

Such a shame. Tons of potential but felt unloved.
Tables not cleaned, candles on tables but not lit and felt like lots of staff but not put to great use. Rate the Goudhurst Inn far higher.

A nice little pub that was closing when I visited! Staff were pleasant and provided quick service.
