Absolutely fabulous service & food. Walked in on a Sunday, only Cavary & kids menu available which was fine. We enjoyed our food & staff behind the Cavery counter was so polite despite the heat & it being busy. Her name was Corrine. She made the experience 10x better as she had a good chat with us. Made us feel very welcome! We come here everynow & then. We have always been chuffed with the service & food. Staff also display a good level of teamwork!

Opened 30 mins late on Saturday afternoon. Potato wedged served were burnt. Fish was overcooked. Suspicion they were reheated from the day before. Attached a photo of the wedges that were served to us. On the right what was originally served, on the left how we'd expect it and what was provided when I complained. Probably should have mentioned the fish too but they weren't as bad as the wedges.

Went just as they opened for lunch. First to be severed the freshly cooked carvery with all the veg to go on the side. We enjoyed a relaxing meal. The staff are friendly, greeting us on arrival and check on us throughout our time with them. It was clean and tidy with lovely food. It was the escape for just a couple hours that we hoped it would be. We left well feed and relaxed, ready for the rest of our day.

We’ve been to the highway man 3 times in the last month. Twice there was a sign on the door saying bookings only !! At 18:00 on a Saturday evening on the one occasion we did actually get in for a meal they’d run out of everything on the carvery. What was left wasn’t great. it was a 45 min wait for the normal menu. The tables surrounding us sent most of the food back as it wasn’t edible. There never seems to be enough staff and the manager appears non existent. The staff they do have appear to work very hard. We’ve given up with this place now. It’s a shame because we always liked It. We had Christmas dinner here last year. I’d say they have management issues that need resolving if they want to stay in business!!

Been here many times, never been disappointed. Staff are polite and friendly, very reasonable price. Sunday Carvery very good.

My only down side is the carpark is quite small so can be a pain to park in when the place is busy but that's all. Food is good, I've had easily half the menu in various visits. Always enjoyed whatever I've had. Highly recommended.

We turned up as a group of 15, with no advance booking and at first we were told they couldn't serve us all food with little notice and only one chef on, we all got drinks whilst looking for an alternative place to eat, after a little while Corrine a member of staff approached us and made us feel at home, explained what they could do for us. By the end of the evening we had all got the food we had wanted and all served pretty much at the same time. The staff were brilliant, and turned it around to a fantastic evening and lovely fresh food, credit where credit is due, and a very big thank you to Corrine. You will see us all again soon.

Food was ok but they don't cater well to vegetarians, my partner ordered the vegetarian roast option to go with his carvery and when it was ready they let another customer have it. He asked for another one and the server said they'd bring it over when it was ready but they never did, it was left on the hot plate for ages. After asking a third time someone brought it over, but by then he'd long finished the rest of his meal. Poor service. It was also very expensive for a lime and soda which is usually a much cheaper option

Lovely pub with great food and friendly staff. Generous carvery and even had my fave cocktail on the menu 🙌🏻
