Welcoming, friendly staff and local people. Incredible food. Will remember that meal for a long time. What we saw of other meals also looked fantastic.

Real Gammon like we use to get! Absolutely delicious, triple cooked chips and friendly staff.. Great pub, lovely location but not enough staff.. Will revisit for sure.. Recommended.. Revisited and had three delicious meals:

We booked for a lunchtime meal for a party of 6. Got a very warm welcome. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. An alternative was suggested for a vegetarian meal as the curry had run out. I recommended that the alternative should be on the menu, it was amazing. It was lovely to go into a restaurant and get a good sized portion of food. With rising prices we’ve found the prices going up and the portion sizes going down, but not here. Been here a few times, never fails to deliver.

Great food with amazing portion sizes for the price. Staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful; sorting out issues before we even needed to say anything. There is a park for children just across the road; bonus!

Excellent food. The fish pie was delicious. I managed to eat it all - it was a huge portion. The staff had really gone to town with the Halloween decorations. All told, a smashing lunch.

It has changed a lot since I last visited and now appears to cater for those having food. The food did look good and I may have Sunday lunch there myself. The pub is small and would benefit from a covered outdoor area for walkers, a drink and shelter is always welcome.

Lovely lunch with a nice warm mulled wine. Really friendly staff too.

Had an amazing New Years Day lunch with friends. We had a warm welcome and then one of them best roast dinners ever. Would highly, highly recommend.
