Great pub. Nice outside seating area next to the canal and welcoming staff and good service all round. Lovely home cooked food!

The most wonderful canal-side pub around! Just can’t be beat, having a pint canal-side 🍻 Staff are also very welcoming and efficient. There’s a good selection of bar snacks and top-notch pub food and it’s cosy inside too. Not really my ‘local’, but I walk the extra distance to make it my ‘local’ just because I’m so fond of the place 🤗

The location is absolutely stunning. Have a lovely walk along the canal before or after your meal. The food was freshly prepared and tasty with a very generous portion size.

Visited for the first time today. My son has just moved into the area. My parents said they travelled all the way from Suffolk and had the best Roast Dinner ever! I had the prawn jacket which was lovely. Great meals and great service in a lovely location. We will be back!

Fantastic food and service by all the staff. We visited for a group meal and all had fantastic meals that were incredibly well served and at a very reasonable price. We will be back!

Brilliant pub. Great Landlord and Lady and lovely staff. Foods great, Sunday Roast as good as it gets. Lovely choice of beverages, great setting and inside is lovely. Nice regulars too and they have free snacks for your dog. Top notch.

I was looking for somewhere to have lunch after visiting the area to go shopping. This had great reviews across all platforms and was touted as a pub that did home cooked food. So pleased to have found it. We were made to instantly feel welcome by the team and the other customers. The food was brilliant, home cooked, well presented and plentiful. I had the chilli con carne which was served on a bed of wild rice and came with a generous helping of cheese and sour cream and a side portion of tortilla chips. I wpuld have liked it more spicy but I am a bit of a spice fiend! The team were so friendly and its evident that it is popular with people from the local area. Shame we live so far away or we'd be regulars.

Family of 6 had a birthday meal.
I had fish and chips with sweet potato fries on the side. Pear crumble for afters.
All delicious except the fish. Too much batter and skin, I'm sorry to report.
Service was good.
