They have a nice selection of beers, very different than what you would normally get at a normal pub. The place is very cozy and the food is great (great portions too). I can't wait for the summer to spend my weekends at the back patio of this incredible pub.

Poor service. Food took over an hour and 20 minutes to arrive, portions ridiculously small fo Sunday roast (child's portion was the same as full price adult potion). Food only arrived after asking again at the bar (order was clearly misplaced, seemed to have run out of food when eventually served). Requested two starters to arrive same time as mains but arrived 30 minutes before. Very disappointing 😞. Was my favourite pub in London before revamp. Very unlikely to return for food. Staff particularly unhelpful. 2 pieces of potato and 2 pieces of courgette...

Such a lovely place for sunday roast. Our table was outside and we lunch right under an apple tree. I appreciate that they suggest you a wine with your meal. I had beef and it was very correct. It was my first yorkshire pudding and it was fresh and easy to eat. Not dry or anything. A great moment with friends during a sunny sunday summer.

We went to the Albert for a Sunday roast, it was great and just what we wanted. The roast was really tasty, good choice of meat and nice vegetable selection. The roast potatoes weren’t great and were a bit tough, but maybe we were a bit late in the day. This is such a nice pub with a great selection of beers on tap. The staff are friendly and efficient and the place has a really nice, easy atmosphere. The prices are also as expected for the area. I would also recommend the pork belly bites to start!

Nice garden, lovely location, great selection of beers. However, very overpriced for both drinks and food, food in particular. 17 pounds for a tiny chicken burger and chips, and a couple of people in our group had to send theirs back due to the chicken being undercooked on the inside... Charging so much for food you would expect something much bigger and tastier (and fully cooked). In addition, they forgot the order for someone in our party.

A comfortable pub with a cosy private garden.

I purchased a £17 burger with fries. It’s difficult to overstate the discrepancy between the quality and the price; I’m confident you could easily find better food for under £5 from a chicken shop. It was small, unseasoned, oily and sad looking. And the pub knows this because some of the other food looked and tasted okay.

£17…

🚇 Chalk Farm
🍺 £6.50 Budvar
❤️ A splendid Victorian Primrose Hill pub.
.
The Albert is located in pretty Primrose Hill and close to the entrance to Regent’s Park. The nearest tube is Chalk Farm, Camden Town tube is a similar distance away.
.
This pub closed its doors in 2015 and was destined to become yet another victim of vulturous developers, thankfully after the tenacity of the local community and councillors this pub reopened its doors in 2020.
.
The architecture of this pub in quintessential Victorian. This three storey beauty is clad in sumptuous green glazed tiles, painted a pale green and has gorgeous stained glass windows.
.
Inside the decor is elegant simplicity with subtle Victorian touches. This is a one bar pub with a horseshoe servery taking centre stage. The seating is a mix of comfy burgundy leather banquettes, a poser table and intimate circular tables and stools. At the rear of the pub is a large beer garden with is accessible through a cosy conservatory.
.
As this is a Freehouse the beer choice was diverse and often rotates. There were two cask ales on at the time of visiting supplied by @leedsbrewery . I decided on a pint of Budvar which was a decent tipple, price point was to be expected. The food is all about gastro-style British pub grub and roasts on a Sunday, Fish & Chips costs £16.
.
The atmosphere was great, the pub was busy and starting to fill up prior to the Portugal v Morocco game. The crowd was mixed and from all generations. I sat next to a nice young couple who’s puppy was very keen to introduce himself to me.
.
The @albertprimrose is a superb pub and for me, my favourite pub in Primrose Hill. The building is absolutely stunning and the decor creates a welcoming ambiance which makes having a pint here a pleasurable experience. The beer and food has something for everyone and staff are very personable. Get this pub on your list folks.

As someone that lives in the local area finding a local pub is no difficult task, we are spoilt for choice! The Albert is one of the best pubs in London let alone Primrose Hill! The food is world class, the staff are friendly and professional and the music is brilliant. Looking forward to many more nights at our local 😀
