Lovely little village pub with a good selection of alcohol including Neck Oil on draught which is always a winner for me. Haven't tried the food but will certainly be back to try it next time.

Still advertising Curry plus pint beer for £1 on website, when we went there 2 weeks ago they told me the offer was off so we couldn’t have it , trading standards need calling . Most of the things on menu I wanted they didn’t have. Very short staffed only one girl doing everything. Dry slow service. Tables sticky, seats grubby, Won’t be going there again. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Went for the curry night with the family but was sadly disappointed. Reserved a table for 6 of us two weeks in advance but got there on the night to find walks in had been given it. Had to sit in the bar side which meant we were forgotten. Ordered at 6pm but no food reached our table until 6.45. Then had to wait another 45 minutes for the mains. Was obvious the food had been sat under a heat lamp for a while as food looked old. There seemed to be only one lady handling all the food while the other staff members either went out constantly to walk the pub dog or just walked past us who didnt care. The pint for £1 with the curry was no longer a deal even though it was advertised on their website. Will go to a proper curry house for a decent meal next time instead of one that tasted like it came out of a jar.

Booked a table for 6 at The Barley Mow for my parents birthday meal.
We turned up to the quaint and cosy dining area and unfortunately there were no staff around to seat us, so we went off on the hunt to find someone that worked there. Stepping through into the bar area was like taking a portal into your local bruiser, as a load of locals stared at us as if they’d never seen another human before. As we stood waiting at the bar to ask whether we should just sit down and if so where, a local got up from his table in the corner, stepped in front of us and got served whilst we were ignored. We were finally seated at our table by the waitress/chef, who then let us know she was leaving next week so they didn’t have everything on the menu. She then handed us 1 food menu for a group of 6 to scramble over. Fortunately with 70% of it crossed/scribbled out it didn’t take long for us to pass it between the group. I asked for another minute to decide on our drink order, 10 minutes go by and she still hasn’t returned, by which point we decided we’d go somewhere else. Can’t comment on the food or drinks as we didn’t stay long enough, but the fact we didn’t says enough.

We had a Sunday lunch with two adults and two children. We had the roasts - vegetarian, chicken and two kids beef. Our plates were clean at the end. We will be coming back again for our Sunday roast.

Food was great, but it was very delayed even after making our orders in advance, and we still had to wait a lot until we were served (and missed one person's order as well some of our initial drinks order).
