Awesome place staff very friendly food is very good it's clean and tidy plus free pool on Wedndesday fairly priced food also live events

A simply wonderful atmosphere, the juke box was absolutely dazzling, brilliant choice of music playing full volume all night long!
I arrived to the Royal Oak promptly at 8pm.
Wasn't sure which pub to visit whilst in Basingstoke, but I met some lively young lads who were playing a friendly game of darts.
I ordered a pint of Guinness and was delighted to see it had been poured with the shape of a clover. Perfect temperature, I can just tell it was executed by the bar staff with care, precision and attention to detail.
I had a lovely chat with a couple of young lads at the bar, think their names were Joshua and Lewis, fantastic sense of humour they really made my night!
Before I knew it, last orders were called and the bell was rung. I will be back again next time I'm visiting my ex wife and daughter in Basingstoke. I had a jolly good night. Hope to see you all again soon!

Table dirty, bar women more like talking with regulars then serv u. Not a pub of my for sure.

Visited some friends there, on my visit to the south. Amazing staff, great reception and I was made super welcome. Can't fault it.

Great food, pleasant ,efficient staff,with a welcoming atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
