Lovely pub, arrived on sunny day in need of refreshment and was not disappointed. A good selection of draught beers, lagers and ciders to wash down very nice seafood pub grub all the while sat outside watching the world go by on the harbour. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I ( day trip )both had the fish and chips at £16.95 each. Chips were good but the fish was dry and made to look larger by copious batter, wine spritzer was flavourless with the lemonade from a tap with little taste.
Service by pleasant and helpful youngsters. Overall poor quality and not value for money. Will not return

Came here for a quick drink as we passed and quite happy with it. Small peaceful place by the water which is great on a nice evening. We only had a drink so can't say much about the food. But the service was great, staff seemed nice and friendly and the place was very clean. Lovely chilled atmosphere too so would recommend to anyone.

Small pub with tiered outdoor seating looking over the river and boats. A small step up from typical pub grub without being foody. They had run out of cider and the best beers on our visit, however!

Very friendly team here. Couldn't do enough for us and the portion sizes are BIG. We had a large table with mix of ages. Food was very tasty and good beer.

It should be noted it is no longer known as the Jolly Sailor, it is now called " FISH ON THE QUAY"
.Notwithstanding that qualification: We stopped at the Jolly Sailor for an impromptu lunch, finding it only because it was opposite the quayside which is home to some lovely old Thames Barges.
The Jolly Sailor offers what I would call the type of menu which can be found in various local hostelries although it did offer an interesting meal or two, including lobster Our food was freshly cooked and quite acceptable, albeit our order was taken and served by a nice young lady who obviously was new to the premises - her lack of experience caused only a couple of minor hiatuses.
We were fortunate in that one of the few tables offering a reasonable view of the barges, the sole reason we were in that area, was available to us. There are plenty of tables inside the establishment and quite a large area of tables and chairs externally.
The arch question of whether we will visit the "Jolly Sailor" again can only be answered with "Yes", if we happened to be in the area and hungry again.
