Only had beers in the lovely beer garden, but it was a very peacful relaxed space. Timed it wrong for food but will definitely eat next time as food looked and smelled delicious. Great location, well kept secret.

Been staying at this hotel several years now. The Binks family run a wonderful and vibrant hotel/pub/restaurant. A traditional hotel with fine rooms, most with a great view of the bay, friendly and efficient service, amazing food....all set in one if the most beautiful places in the UK. Cannot recommend enough.

This place is just wonderful. Beautifully preserved and spotlessly clean. How they manage that with all the lovely brass and pictures and Toby jugs I dont know!?! I take my hat off to the cleaning staff. The food is just awesome. We came for lunch and all had something different and all 3 of us were very happy with our choices. My Dad had the homemade cheese, onion and potato pie and in his own words...it was the best he's ever had. Which from my dad is very high praise indeed👏 Dog friendly and plenty of room to accommodate them without intruding on other customers. Really helpful and happy staff. Service was impeccable. I managed to leave my scarf and no questions or quibbling when i called up they immediately offered to post it back to me in Manchester at their own cost. I'd recommend booking as this place is a gem and not to be missed.

Proper pub, lovely homemade food. Very dog friendly with one of the nicest beer gardens I've seen. Fab location near the estuary. Lovely for doggy-walking. Comfortable, refurbished, ensuite rooms (dogs allowed).

A warm welcome, great beer, brilliant food (the pies are home made and so filling) and fab friendly service throughout our lunch. Highly recommended! Book ahead to avoid disappointment.

We only went in for a meal but it was excellent. We both had one of the chef's pies which were brilliant. The ales on offer we good. Very friendly atmosphere and good service, would definitely recommend.

We booked a table for 1230 Sunday 4th December and we were immediately made to feel welcome as we came through the door. The staff were delightful,attentive,humorous, and welcoming. The service was 100% first class in an informal and unobtrusive manner. The food arrived in good time and was delicious, the stout was excellent and served at perfect temperature so I had to have another. The open fire and sleepy dog stretched out near it made it perfect. The staff on that day were exemplary. Thank you,we'll be back.

As you walk through the door, it's that, ah...."a proper pub, feeling. Great food, especially the tasty burger and home made pies. All the staff are excellent and really welcoming. No matter how busy they are the service is always spot on.
