Fantastic pub for Sunday lunch. The quality of the food, the size of the portions and the quality are all exemplary. The staff are also charming and incredibly helpful. Finally, being a free house, there are some excellent local beers available.

This is such a lovely pub. So welcoming, friendly staff and a great selection of cask ales. They sell local eggs and honey at the bar. The food is also superb.

Just wow! Everything from start finish was amazing. My fish and chips was cooked to perfection, and the size of it! Chris was more than happy to cater for certain dietary requirements. All the food was incredible, the lady who served us all evening was amazing, and nothing was to much trouble. We enjoyed the garden while the sun was still out, perfect for everyone to enjoy, whether it is for a drink or food. We did wat inside though. Love the decor and the place itself.
Will definitely be returning. Very reasonable prices too. Thanks for a lovely evening.

2nd meal here & we weren't disappointed again. Lovely homemade burger & chips & a delicious steak. Large portions too.

Absolutely brilliant. The manager made us very welcome. The food was the best pub grub I’ve had in ages and fine selection of ales. Forget Birchanger Services. Take 20 mins extra and go here instead 😀

Had been told ,was a good place to eat .looked at the menu thought it looked a bit basic and vegetarian. We had 6 different meals. . What a great find . 6 empty plates, 7 satisfied people. Top chef ,excellent staff. Thanks for a lovely meal . Thanks for the candle. Will be back.
