It’s quite a pleasant time to stay.
The burger is flame grilled with very good smell. Although Chips are very personal that someone may not like skinless, but it is nice to me. The portion is ok for me but not huge. Will visit again in the future.

Well, first things first, definitely a huge improvement on the Queen B! The bar and restaurant is decorated as you might expect for a large pub and its clean enough too. Had some dinner which we all enjoyed. There are loads of things on the menu but basically comes down to 100 different ways to serve grilled chicken or beef. Couple of things to note; first, veggie options, limited to fish and chips, veggie burger or mac and cheese. Tried the mac and cheese and, despite being a 750kcal portion on the menu, it wasn't very filling. Same could be said of the burgers, just needed a little 'more'. They do have big eats though. Went for the Macxcallibur which is 3 pieces of chicken, plus nuggets, mac and cheese and chips. That was filling, for sure. So the point is... It much better that it's reputation deserves, the food is good but there's no middle ground on portions (either small or massive) and it's bang on for the money. We spent less that £200 on 7 adult meals, starters, mains, drinks and dessert.
Give it a go, you'll be surprised.

First time here and we was so impressed by the menu, unfortunately was disappointed with mains, ordered the apple crumble jar and had no custard in. Told a staff member who after 15 minutes asked if we wanted another one :/ no customer skills here. Also when showing my staff I'd dor discount I was question by a bar staff what my position was in job. I am a duty manager so I am aware the bar staff should not be questioning until a member of management is there.

I visited here with my family for the first time as we were in the area. The fist thing we were greeted with was a rude bar manager who had asked me to put my child's fruit shoot bottle away before we had even walked to the bar. Then the same person told my child to step away from the slot machine as she could lose her license before we had even picked up a menu. Considering he would not have had a clue how to play and we were in the process of ordering I'm sure this would have been very unlikely.

The attitude of the lady behind the bar (I am assuming she is the bar manager or landlady) was so bad we just left.

We did not feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Very disappointing.

Can't go wrong with the food, lovely steak. However the member of staff I was served by seemed as though they didn't really want to be there. Quite blunt and unfriendly. Didn't say a word when they brought us our orders or when they took our plates afterwards. I went to the counter to ask about a drink that I'd ordered via the app that was running around 20 mins late, the same staff member seemed quite annoyed at my query. Perhaps they were having a bad day, either way customer service could use a bit of an improvement here.

Always enough staff and really nice and helpful.

2 main courses for £11,99 on Monday till Friday. Had the chicken stripes and the stake and ale pie. Both delicious! Will be back to enjoy a meal again

Great service and friendly staff , cheap prices and the food arrived fast . A couple of people in our party had some issues with their food but everything in the restaurants power was dome to rectify these issues.

Overall its got a friendly atmosphere and is cozy inside. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap meal and a drink 🍸
