An unfortunately average pub meal. The roast beef in particular was tough and on the dry side. The Yorkshire pudding was flat, stodgy and only slightly crisp.

The pie wasn’t anything special. Tasted like something you’d get from the supermarket and bake at home.

Overall not a bad experience but won’t be planning to go back.

Had some small plates to share, perfect to accompany some drinks. Really recommend the foot long onion rings, so delicious!!

Freindly pub, good service, great location... However they need to address the size of some of their portions, i:e the size of this portion of chips for £4 is ridiculous and wouldn't serve a badger

Had lunch this afternoon with a friend. Food was absolutely amazing and cannot be faulted.

However, I'd placed an order on the app and received my food but not my drinks. When I queried where they were, I was meant with an eye roll and told I shouldn't order drinks on the app and that if what I ordered wasn't avaliable I couldn't be refunded. I understand that this issue must be frustrating but from someone who'd never been here before, I felt like the response I got was quite condescending and unprofessional so maybe get rid of the app or fix the faults.

Very friendly staff, nice place for lunch with family and friends. Great service. Children's menu very good. Dogs are welcome. Quite when we visited but still a nice atmosphere. Commonwealth games on the tele, board games and books also available.

Well surprised or should I be with this ressesion as some businesses are cutting back on quality bad move cause when things get better you may already have lost to much money after customers not returning will cause bigger problems in long term 6 months ago food 9-10 now only. 4-10 I will book somewhere else next time

Lovely staff and good pint.
The beer garden is nice and heated which is definitely a plus in the winter and midseason.

Went to the george for an anniversary date with my boyfriend.wen we went in we were immediately seen to by the staff with amazing customer service. Loved the atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious! Hope to go again some time soon.
