Heard mixed things about the Crooked Billet. Went there Sunday afternoon and it was a great Hungry Horse. Plenty of space, seating available, food available and ever-so friendly staff. Would recommend.

Food was quick and well cooked. Staff were helpful and polite. There are toilets in the building and parking is free in their own car park. The prices are reasonable, but they also run offer deals on various days.

Food was outstanding and very good value, helpful friendly staff, quick service, little bit of wait on the food but was expected as it was peak time, definitely recommend, in attached photo was sizzler combo, huge amount and the steak was perfect

Unfortunately not a good dining experience. Staff smiled a bit but appeared half hearted in their customer contact. I didn't feel I was getting their full attention. Food only good in parts. I had the half chicken etc. Chicken and sweet corn ok. Rest of meal awful, the cook should be forced to eat it. Tepid chips and microwaved peppers.
Won't be back!

A hungry horse chain pub. Decorated with film studio posters.
Friendly staff, and popular with families. Provides decent portions of pub grub on the menu.
Conveniently located if you're looking for somewhere cheap to stop near Pinewood.

We stopped here for somewhere to eat, not knowing the area it was the first we came across. It was a Hungry Horse.
Very large menu with daily offers. Plenty to choose from. Monday was Steak and Chips for £8. Also Kids eat for £1 . The latter meant there was a large party with Children one who cried all the time. This was obviously not the management's fault , however, it was quite off putting.
It was early evening and there was some other small groups of Diners, but it wasn't particularly busy. We both had the Steaks which were quite tasty but the rest of it was just OK.
We sat by a table with a TV screen, but there was no sound, so rather a waste of time. I noticed there were several tables vacated but not cleared and felt this was not the right impression to give anybody dining. It shows a lack of care! They hadn't been cleared when we arrived and still weren't clear when we left.
The Staff that evening were quite helpful giving us directions and I thank them for that but at this moment in time it is vital to create the right impressions for guests and dirty tables are unforgivable.

Ordered the cheese sharer starter, took 50 minutes to arrive, was hard and rubbery as if it had been sat under a heat lamp for a while.
Mains turned up 2 minutes later, did complain about the starter to the waitress but this was dismissed and she was uninterested.
Korean burger was good but my wife's chicken was pretty much inedible, would have needed a steak knife to even cut through parts of it.
Usually hungry horse restaurants are half decent but I would recommend giving this one a wide berth.
