We like the George, it's reasonable prices and decent food. We love the fact they have a dog friendly section and often take him with us. The staff always make a fuss of the dog and give him treats! Perfect place for a pub lunch.

What a gem of a find. Stayed three nights. Very warm welcome, comfortable clean room. Breakfasts were marvellous. Nothing negative to say. Offers excellent standards at excellent price. Convenient to visit other places, but Selby itself a lovely place to visit. Would recommend it.We will be back

Nice pub with friendly and quick service. Can't fault it but I haven't yet tried the food so next time I am in town I will certainly have some. Plenty of TVs of you want to watch the sport bit doesn't take over the whole pub. Well worth a visit

Called in Saturday dinner time with a moody teenager, he ordered Bacon Chicken double Burger with chips, coke and an Americano for me. Food arrived piping hot, massive portion and tasty. Staff friendly and table clean. Music playing low and sports on multiple television. Pool table in separate area.

Will not be staying here again, we did not get any sleep at all due to the noise coming from the nightclub about 100 metres away which was open till 4:00 in the morning followed by the exit of people. The rooms were clean & ok but tired/ rundown. Breakfast was ok nothing special. The pub itself was very rowdy. The staff again ok. Overall was disappointing

Nice pub, especially in the summer, sit outside and just people watching, watch sport if you fancy, have not eaten in here for a few years si cant say how the food is.
