The Old Sergeant Pub

It was the closest pub in my place, but l’m sorry that I’ve been this kind of lovely pub just once. There are pretty wide garden in the outside. Cozy place. Thanks to my boyfriend who brought me this pub.

Nice pub with good choice of drinks and food.

We have been regular customers 4 years ago, but because of bad management and rude attitude, we stop visiting The old Sergeant. This Sunday we accidentally pop up for a beer and we had a chance to try one of the best Sunday roast. I'm quite picky regarding the food and I have been nicely surprised but the new owners, friendly staff and delicious food. I would recommend it again.

Popped in on a Thursday evening. It was dead so no atmosphere at all. The bar staff struggled to understand the order (language barrier) or use the till. Scampi fries £1.50 a bag. Ouch. Won't be in a rush to return.

Edit: As a non regular you call it as you see it. No need to pass on any concerns. It can't be easy to be thrust into a front service role like that having just entered the country and with limited language skills. Good luck to the girl.

Large bar area with comfy seating, even has a large function room available. Outside garden area . Food available. Good selection of drinks. Friendly staff and new management. Would recommend a visit !

Food was absolutely delicious today when my partner and I went for lunch. The barman was very charming too. Will definitely be returning.

A wonderful little pub. The barmaids were lovely: friendly and helpful. There is an outdoor area under cover that would be great in summer. Everything was clean and tidy. Myriad seating options available. The Guinness was excellent as was the Harvey's Sussex Best.
