Pipe Major

Excellent customer service, my first time here even though its close to where I live. I'm big on service first, so that's a 5 star for me, food came earlier than I was told as well. I enjoyed the mixed grill I ordered. Would be returning soon.

Just visited again for the second time and really enjoyed my visit. I had the ultimate burger and was way full by the end of it. staff very friendly and lovely atmosphere too.

I enjoyed my visit to Pipe Major. Food was lovely, got a cavary. The food was hot and all tasted fresh. Also got a waffle, normally comes with ice cream but was nice of them to swape it with custard as not a fan of ice cream and did'nt want it to go to waste. Great value for money as well. Staff were very nice to use. It was clean and tidy and the staff had a laugh with us. I got a Captin Morgan and coke for £7.50, which was a little out of my budget but their soft drinks are at a good price. Great parking spaces and a outside area for kids to play. Overall a good experience.

A very large place with plenty of seating .Food is ordered at the bar and brought to your table. There are set menus and a carvery. The food was tasty and fairly fast to be served, but unfortunately there were a few items missing from our order. The missing items were brought out, but we had all nearly finished our meals. That is the only reason I took one star away. There is a nice children's play area outside that is very secure. Plenty of parking available.

It was extremely busy and we were notified of a wait for food. There was a longer than usual wait for food - but it wasn't a problem. The customer service was amazing. Our son has a severe nut allergy and is therefore very nervous eating out. Your staff were incredible. It makes such a difference - thank you! The measures you have in place made him feel safe. He turned round to us and said 'it's like being in a hotel and I'm in a VIP area'. We all had delicious food and thoroughly enjoyed a family meal where we didn't feel awkward having a child with an allergy. We will definitely be back.

A lovely friendly pub. Nice play area outside with safety latched gates. Nice surroundings outside, and inside was kept clean and tidy and very bright and airy.
Staff were efficient and polite, quick service of meals. Toilets were also kept clean. Enjoyable atmosphere, and food.
We WILL be back! 😉👍

Went to the Pipe Major on Sunday. Despite being busy and not having booked a table, we sat at a reasonable time. The young man behind the bar was accommodating and made our experience more enjoyable unfortunately we did not get his name; he was able to answer all our questions about our dishes without hesitation and made an excellent recommendation for dessert. Our waitress Elise was terrific and so funny. An all-around 10 out of 10 experience.

We had a lovely lunch, 9 of us in total including two young children. Most of us ate off of the main menu & 3 of us had the Carvery. All enjoyed our food. Great value. Little play area outside for the kids. Great service, lovely friendly lady serving is & doing the bar. We will come again & would recommend.
