Just had a lovely pub lunch with a friend here. We were both running late but the pub was very accommodating and friendly! Food was fantastic and there was a lovely atmosphere... we spent hours here without realising! Will most certainly coming back when we can. Thank you!

Stopped in on a nice hot summers lunch time on the off chance after seeing the sign on the bend. Clean friendly, great beer garden and amazing fresh salad. Will pop in again!

Popped in a couple of times prior to dining... Each time the staff were super helpful and friendly.
We ate there this evening.. The food arrived really quickly on HOT plates( something that doesn't happen much now). I had fish and chips. The fish was beautiful.. Crispy battery and outstanding fish...
So well done all at the Saxon... You're doing it perfectly..

( Also the beer garden is a lovely space)

Lovely country pub in a beautiful location, with a great beer garden and selection of real ales. Stayed at the inn while in the area for a wedding. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Extra thanks go to the landlord, Neil, for going above and beyond the call of duty in helping us get back to the wedding venue the day after our stay. We are so grateful!

Found this spot looking for a place to stay close to the End of The Road music festival and I’m so glad we did! The inn is very charming and cozy with super comfy rooms and the staff went above and beyond in terms of hospitality, plus it has a lovely pub and delicious food! Highly recommend

New landlord and landlady were literally justmoving in when we visited, but were very welcoming and accommodating. Nice atmosphere and very cosy with a large open log fire on the go on a chilly day.

Great little Pub. Friendly staff and good food. Tucked away so don't blink or you'll miss it!
