We visited on Sunday and ordered Sunday roast. Delicious and tasty. Very quick service. Cosy pub, very friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Definitely recommend.

Plenty of seats inside and outside but Service on the slow side. I had the cod and chips which was nice but the portion of mushy peas was poorly( see photo). Tartare sauce was nice and fresh not out of a jar.

Really nice. Badher beer, a steak & a really nice sticky toffee pudding. Out of roast dinners , but we weren't fussed.

Nicely spacious inside with county-feel decor. Staff welcoming and helpful. Good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks at bar. Menu has a nice variety of dishes and food was served quickly and piping hot. Pleasant outdoor area under big parasols and plenty of parking behind pub.

I went to this pub with my Fiance,her sister and partner. It was amazing experience. Our server Ben was fast, kind helpful ,nice person. The food at the pub was wonderful, I had the fishcake, it was wonderful, very flavorful, great atmosphere. Would definitely come back for another visit.

Just had an amazing meal here, the roast dinners are a game changer. Also dog friendly pub. A real home from home feel about this place. Kasey behind the bar is a friendly and helpful lady.. will definitely be back. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon.

Visited for my mine and my partners anniversary this evening and it was amazing! Upon arrival we were greeted with a happy and lovely manner. The gentleman who seated us (I believe he was the manager) was so welcoming and wished us a happy anniversary. As we got to the table there was a lovely card wishing us again a happy anniversary which was so nice, as they did not have to do that and it meant a lot to us. Once we were sat, a lovely young lady came to take our orders and she was very sweet and so attentive. Our food came swiftly and tasted delicious, I definitely recommend the homemade sausage roll for a starter. My partner had the whitebait which was huge! Overall would definitely recommend the black horse as everything was perfect :)
