Amazing place, very cosy atmosphere and all staff very attentive and helpful.
The food was brilliant and will definitely will come back for more.
Highly recommended the beer garden at the back on a sunny day !!

Stopped off for a quick lunch. Not a great amount of choice for veggies but what we had was really good. We both had mushrooms on sough dough bread and shared the skin on fries. Friendly and quick service. Very nice

Came here with my family yesterday afternoon for a Sunday Lunch. Firstly can I say the food was amazing and also our waiter Miles was always very polite and efficient with his service. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

What a great find when searching " Google " for ' dog friendly pub's ' . A warm welcome for us and our 2 dogs . The pub was clean , spacious and with plenty of seating . Food was quick , fresh and delicious. The chips seemed bottomless .
Plenty of parking around the back , don't forget to register you car when entering the pub . This gave us 4 hrs , so we took the dogs for a walk up the High Street and along the river after lunch .

To the member of staff that I spoke to on Saturday 3rd at 2.30 to book a table for 8. My friends and I arrived today and the table you showed me and booked was given to someone else. Your colleague refused to move the people he gave the table to and claimed there were no special notes. Btw in your system it said the table was changed….
Very poor customer service and terrible attitude from Derek and your manager. Fortunately the Albany could accommodate us and we had an amazing Sunday late lunch.

Dear Oliver,
Thank you for your reply. Your staff did not handle the situation in a professional manner and Derek was not interested in accommodating us. He said there was nothing he could do. The only table available was the one set up with bar stools. Not suitable for my pregnant friend, her child and the rest of my party. You left us waiting for quite sometime before you showed up to speak to us. Your staff had my contact details I would have appreciated a phone call before today to make me aware of the change of seating. Not wait until we all turn up. We were all frustrated and none of my friends wanted to spend money and time in your pub.
Merry Christmas

Nice atmosphere in this lovely pub. Had Sunday roast beef which considering its pre preped. pink or WD was good, I had pink. Now this is not criticism but.. portion size was huge. personally I would prefer slightly less .
Good ale too. the moondance was 5*

We went on a dark Sunday and, from the outside, the pub didn't quite look like an inviting gastro pub but we were positively surprised!
Really good food (for a little more upmarket) but fair price. Good atmosphere and I'd recommend to reserve if going for food.
Although the Yorkshire pudding was cold the Sunday roast was very good - one of the best I've had.
Waiting staff are a little lost and unorganised but friendly and attentive and we'd definitely come back if in the area again.

Visited in September for a late lunch after touring Hampton Court. The fish and chips were top notch, as was the service! Even at the odd late-lunch hour, the service was quick and friendly, so we were in and out in less than 45 minutes, which was perfect for us.
