The Angel Inn

Visited the pub tonight to celebrate my friends birthday. The staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. The carvery looked delicious, menu and special board available. The food and presentation was of a high standard in taste and presentation. The staff were attentive and bought the cake over and sang. Nothing was too much trouble and I can't wait to go back! Thank you for a great night.

A fairly decent Sunday lunch. They had a good selection of roasts served carvery style. You help yourself to a good selection of veggies.
Reasonable selection of puds.
The only spoiler for us was the price of soft drinks. £3.60 for a pint of coke was rather excessive!

Visited many times in the past before covid pandemic. Came for lunch with Mum today for the first time since new management took over. No carvery & smaller menu than previously, but still a decent variety of options available. Ordered drinks & 2 burger meals. Food arrived promptly to table, cooked to good standard (one of the nicest burgers I've had recently) & well presented. Didn't order desserts as we were both too full after eating mains, but they did look nice. Very welcoming & attentive service.

Superb tasting food, cheerful & helpful staff. Well kept beers, what more do you want 😁

Absolutely fantastic. Meals were hot and very tasty..and very good price .landLord very nice and funny .Place very clean .and quite no steps so ok for wheelchairs .First time there ..won't be the last ..

Best food in the area. Fantastic carvery. Limited variety of veg but all the better for it. Great welcome and attentive staff. Have settled here after trying others and being disappointed not so here.
We have a party of around 20 every year and never had a complaint.

Poor quality food and not home made and expensive drinks. Outside looks drab and letters missing from name. Not sure why this place had good reviews. Carvary was very disappointing and I have never seen black stuffing b4.
