The food was really good. And the service was even better.. We had our little boy with us who is aged 5. The lady who served us believe her name was Eleana.. our little boy loves role play and was pretending to take our orders on his tablet.. Eleana asked if he wanted to take our pudding order on her ordering tablet.. he was over the moon she then asked if he wanted to come into the kitchen to bring out our puddings which was a lovely touch as it was our wedding Anniversary.. he loved doing it and everyone was clapping him. Another young girl asked if he wanted to set a table that she was doing.. this all made his day/week on his holidays... he was super proud of himself... this was going above and beyond the service expected.. getting the little ones involved.. fantastic service from those mentioned and all the people working that day... on top of the food being spot on.. thankyou

Came here on a beautiful sunny day for lunch! Had a gorgeous beef brisket sandwich with fries (I asked for fries instead of chips) and it was absolutely delicious my mum and brother had the same and we all loved it! Great place for a lovely dinner or celebration for lunch as it is on the higher end of the price scale (but not at all astronomically) definitely recommend this place, the staff were very lovely, helpful and great to talk to!

I have never been so shocked at what arrived in front of me this evening.duo of pate!!! 1 Inch by 5 mm of hock pate with a slightly bigger parfait but only 3 mm thick. What an absolute joke. £6.95 wasted . Never worth that money shocking. I complained and all I was told was really! No offer or any Apology. Main course was sirloin £17.50 8oz. Eatable slightly but had at least 3 oz of gristle and fat not at all a quality sirloin. Never again and we are local . Trying to support our local businesses but I won’t be supporting that one ever again or recommend it to anyone. Disappointed was no where near how we felt. ordered cocktails they didn’t have the ingredients to make most we chose on menu.
Look at photo!!!

The server that we had was absolutely delightful and she gets a 5/5. I'm sorry that I didn't get her name so can't say who in particular should be praised, but she was utterly delightful.
The pork roast was a little disappointing as it was described as having a pancetta crumb on the top and coming with a honey-roasted apple, neither of which mine had, and were frankly the main reason why I ordered it! So I would knock off a couple of stars for that, but the delightful service and the delicious drinks and desserts earned one of those back definitely.
The orange and vanilla creme brulee (pictured) was perfectly sized and really fantastic. The french martini (also pictured) was very enjoyable and at £7.50 per cocktail, also very reasonably priced.

Went here for Sunday lunch. Family very pleased with both the vegetarian roast and the roast pork. Puddings were also a hit. The chocolate flower pots were delicious! The staff made us feel so welcome and were really attentive in spite of how busy it was. We will definitely be returning!

Not been here to eat for many years and so far in the last couple of months I've been visiting here like seeing an old friend.

Not been disappointed once in my meal selection all prepared, presented and tasted fablous.

But I'd like to draw your attention to the drink recommendations at the bottom of the menu...today an alcohol free Raspberry soda.

What a refreshing choice from lime and soda and well worth investigating. Looks great, tastes so good, clean and the added freeze dried raspberries add a little burst of flavour.

Absolutely fantastic meal, Scalops, chorizo, peas with pea shoots followed by Ribeye steak(medium rare of course) with triple cooked chips, onion rings, salad and the best beef dripping sauce I've ever tasted.
Probably the best meal I've ever had, and that's saying something. Please if you in the area just try it... You won't regret it

Usually love this place, eaten here many times. This time was disappointed with the onion rings, they were dripping in grease, burnt and just unpleasant. Also had to wait over 5 minutes for someone to come and seat us.
