Very enthusiastic bar staff here. A nice beer garden and the usual historical story of the locality adorning the walls.
I had a very good Salopian ale and a cheese cob. A good choice of complimentary chutneys and pickle's.
Doing a very good job here

A BCA chain pub which is always a good sign.
Unsurprisingly rammed on the hottest day of the year but that was only on the outside and they had an additional bar there to accommodate the numbers. We preferred to sit inside with the air con. Great service and beer, what more do you want. If that is a cob, then they can help you with that too.

The extensive range of draft ales at the Cross Inn is very, very good. But when dropping in to the air conditioned bar for a pint & ham bap lunch on one of the hottest days of the year, the overall experience is nothing short of outstanding. Shaded parking, outdoor seating areas, a friendly welcome & comfortable bar area all contributed to make my visit most enjoyable. This will not be my last visit to this Great British pub.

real ale at it’s best very friendly staff. cobs and scotch eggs on bar and help yourself salad bar. we always pop in if passing. Clean and very well kept. great beer choices and a nice cider guest availability most visits. we’ll be back with our two jack-rustles. don’t miss this one.

A real diamond. It's a bit of a walk up the hill but worth it, good prices, lots of selection, staff are nice, great atmosphere and the cobs are amazing! Go to pub! And after a few oils a very pleasant walk back down the hill home!

First visit here since before covid lockdown so good to see it thriving as a proper pub.
Friendly staff, food is excellent and the ale selection is incredible.
Back again soon.
