My third visit since moving to Retford a few months back on a very quiet Sunday evening. Lovely cool pint of berry cider and a juicy medium rare steak with mash. Although portions seem to be getting shorter or .. the plate is larger these days !?!?

All in all, worth a visit for families and if you fancy a quiet drink, reason why I give it 5 stars.

One of the best Wetherspoon restaurants we have been to. Food were very nice and five of us all enjoyed the dinner. So surprised they have mustard sauce. Service is quick and it is just the football World cup night. Young football fans gather here to watch football World cup match in front of a huge TV screen.

Another very nice Wetherspoons town centre pub. Reasonable priced drinks and food. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Situated in the market town of Retford behind the main bus station. Wheelchair accessible and parking available. Retford is an excellent town for a "pub crawl" with many lively pubs to visit. The town is generally a safe place to visit and boasts all the shops you could need. Plenty of car parking.

Very hard working staff. Food quick, plenty & hot. Bar service needs 'tweaking'. Could be stood a long time waiting to be served. Seem to only serve one end of the bar at a time.

Manager called kyle is a power freak thinks he runs the show. not polite and very rude. wanted a meal with my pals. one lad was under 16 bearing in mind in over 18 (responsible) to look after him being a family member. no alcohol was bought and this was mid day. we all ordered. Then he decides to kick the under 16 out stating “i’m the manager i’ve made the decision under my discretion” had to refund meals and then he left. lying saying it states it in the legislation and when proved wrong he didn’t know what to say. needs sorting out clearly because power has got to his head.

Absolutely fantastic Pub. Outdoor space is nice and I haven't had a bad meal.

The Dominie Cross doesn't have much kerb appeal, but it's a big pub inside. Food and drinks menu is very reasonable, plenty of options, and all tasted OK too. Staff seemed nice and friendly, and general cleanliness was OK. Possibly not somewhere you would think off for a posh meal out, but for a quick dinner with two fussy children it did the trick!
