Extremely friendly, chatty, happy, lively and caring staff. Sarah especially.
Its an old traditional pub.
I can taste they clean the pipes regularly so the alcohol taste fresh, other pubs don't clean often and can notice the difference.
I will definitely be returning due to great customer service and atmosphere.

Proper pub, everyone having a good time. We wanted food but they werent serving, however the bar staff happily prepared us a tray of sandwiches for no charge. Music act every Friday night - last night was "Robby" singing all the old standards, Sinatra, Diamond etc. Fun evening, friendly locals.

Very nice and friendly staff. They have quite big outside area with roof so you can have a pint outside even if it's raining. Definitely will be going there again! Recommended!

If you are fed up with sterile chain pubs, which accounts for nearly all in the surrounding area, try the New Inn. I'm not going to dress it up, its old school, but its refreshing. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

I sadly had no choice but to use this place for my brothers recent wake…..what a rip off. Not sure they know the meaning of ‘catering’ as the food was terrible. Very expensive sandwiches and I think it was seafood in the corner and a few potatoes for the vegetarians. Hopefully the landlord made a lot of money along with those affiliated with him and had a great Christmas

This pub was better than expected. I had not been in there for many years due to its "dull" nature. Perhaps I am the "dull" one now. It still has the feel of an old pub despite it's name!

They are working on developing the beer garden which may improve it but possibly at the cost of not being so child friendly.

I visited lunchtime midweek and found the staff very friendly and the atmosphere very comfortable. This may be different on different days and different times.

This pub is currently more suitable to the more mature client rather than a youngster's venue.
