Nice pub, always pretty quiet and relaxed for a drink and dinner. Good size car park. Service is always good with either order at the bar or via the Ember Inn app. You're likely to encounter a wake party as the crematorium is just across the road. Plenty of outdoor space as well.

Had a fab time at the Halloween quiz. Unfortunately our team mate Phoebe Phalanges didn't really help much and we came last. Always have good food and friendly service here. We quiz here regularly (Wednesday nights) and now we are regulars we are made to feel a part of The Huntsman family.

The experience starts when you walk in the pub, we went in for my birthday I asked at the bar where can we sit and was led to a table and told very abruptly "sit there"!! Not a good start, so we sat where we wanted, when trying to order some menu items we're not available and the woman taking our order (the "sit there" lady) was still grumpy and short of patience not our fault you don't have what's on the menu.. So we eventually ordered the food arrived in good time and was a poor standard nachos were full of oil and greasy, the curry was watery and just nasty, my steak was OK but not great. Overall not a nice experience we won't go back shame really because it looks very nice from outside. 16 th November ...16:30

Went there for lunch.
Overall it was quite disappointing.
This is based on comparing the place to what it was like a few years ago.
Ordered using the App, but no tables have numbers on, so this option isn't very convenient.
Where we were sat was close to the entrance. Despite staff walking back and forth, they left the doors wide open on a few occasions (both sets of doors). I got up twice to close them as it was 2 degrees outside.
Some of the staff were pretty good, but there was one who I watched enter the kitchen area with a loose sounding cough. This in itself can't be helped, as people do get colds, but not covering her mouth made me shudder; especially given the area she was going into.
The food was OK and will fill you up, but too many negatives to return, unfortunately.

We held my uncles wake here and the pub was very nice. There was plenty of parking and the staff were very kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely finger buffet with hot and cold food, and more than enough of it to go around, along with plenty of tea and coffee. Thank you

Went for lunch on Boxing Day. Staff were friendly and service good. Starter and dessert were nice enough but burger was disappointing. Just cold pulled turkey and very small piece of southern fried chicken.
