seems to be a great vibe but keep that vibe inside. this building is opposite to a youth hostel where day in and day out we have to hear constant fights outside. most of us have come from places of abuse and it is incredibly distressing. rating 5 stars because the actual pub seems wonderful and its not their fault. if you can’t handle your drink and get aggressive please go elsewhere.

A great atmosphere and location. Excellent, lovely, very efficient and multi tasking staff. A wide selection of beers - craft and cask. Proper cider and a LampLighter exclusive “The Coffee” a must try. Also has the most friendliest staff and customers I’ve come across, What more do you want?

Yes, it can be packed but that is because it's such a great pub and the staff will get you served quicker than any other pub I know.

I didn’t even want to give it a star. Me and my partner walked in and was immediately given dirty looks by both the customers and staff there. We sat down and we’re deciding on what drink to have when the bar lady rudely approached us stating that we were too young to be in here ( bearing in mind I’m 22 and my partner is 18) and the fact that we couldn’t just sit in here without ordering (even though we had been in there five minutes) after this we left immediately and didn’t give it a second thought. The staff was as horrible as the chairs and I will not be recommending this place to anyone. If you want to have a terrible experience this is the place to go.

If I could give it negative stars, I would. Me and my partner both walked into this establishment just wanting a drink and maybe some food, when walked into the pub and sat down (like you would do in any other pub) we were rudely approached but what I assume as the pub manager who was really aggressive/rude and told us that we look to young to be there and demanded id from us. Wouldn’t have mind if she/it was polite about it but to be treated like that was utterly appalling. We showed our id’s and to which she said “order at the bar” we were both in shock on how this creature had treated us, so we left and found a better place. If you wish to have a bad time, go here.

I went to this pub to have a couples of couples. Look nice inside the pub but in particular one of the staff or owner was very rude to me . Bad attitude towards customers like myself. I fall asleep for 10 minutes after 24 hours work so i was very tired.
I didnt bother no one doing my own business.
The owner said u not allowed to sleep against the rules
Ok no problem i won t coming back again

Your loose not mine
My advice is treat everyone with respects. We pay your wage at the end of the day goodluck

Great place during the weekends. They have cheerful, fun , karoke type live music on Friday, Sat &Sunday. The staff are hard working , efficient and friendly enough. Most folks seem to know each other , so there is a sort of prevailing community spirit in existence. The drink prices are very reasonable and probably cheaper than the Weatherspoons next door. Definitely worth a try if u are in neighborhood during the weekend.
