Super quiet at 1pm on a Sunday with a roast that looks absolutely gorgeous.

Been here many times and would easily come here again, and again, and again, and again.

Nice staff and atmosphere, but the food is unbelievably bad and over priced… see the £7 “truffle and Parmesan” chips which is about 4 chips with an undetectable morsel of parm on top. “Triple cooked chips” are… literally just leftover roast potatoes? Olives bizarrely come with onion chunks…? The chef and the pricing team are from the same delusional planet, don’t get food here.

Great pub vibe on a Sunday evening. Flat-iron steak was incredible (only possible criticism…triple cooked chips were tasty but anemic looking).

Bar staff were friendly and attentive. Saw others having amazing looking cocktails…was tempted. 🤔

Beer/cider was great, and staff and vibes are amazing! Nice and cozy and warm on a cold fall day. The fish and chips weren’t very good though, I know the chips are tripled fried, but maybe double is enough 😓 fish was more batter/fried ness than fish. All pretty tough. The cauliflower side saved the day though! It’s so delicious

Great honest pub. We went down for a Roast and it had a nice friendly atmosphere. A good selection of craft beers on tap if thats what you're into! Fairly busy so I'd recommend booking for larger groups. Staff were super friendly and the food portions were big enough. The only thing I'd mention is we waited 40-50 minutes for our food after ordering but this timeframe wasn't communicated to us during or after ordering. Luckily we weren't in a rush! Would go again.

Amazing pub! Had the Christmas 3 course which was delicious - one person in our group was coeliac so it was great to find a place that did gluten free gravy. The staff were extremely kind and helpful as were the management team who helped us step by step In booking. Highly recommended

The largest chicken Sunday roast, half a large bird, make sure not to have breakfast, you need to be hungry, great staff and beers. Vermouth on tap delicious.
