Friendly and helpful staff. We were three and were given a suitable table. The menu was not extensive but quite wide ranging. We had the fishcakes and the seabass. Fishcakes were especially good- large portions and full of flavour. We only had soft drinks- but the lime& soda was well mixed and had plenty of lime. We had the "Black Forest Flower Pot" for desert. WOW!!! Large portion, very tasty and thoroughly entertaining! Just brilliant. Our waitress was Ros. She was friendly helpful and didn't rush us even though the restaurant was quite busy. She chatted to us about the food, had good knowledge and was very helpful without being intrusive.

We had a great meal and would definitely visit again.

There's a gorgeous walk behind the pub that runs along the canal and up into the woods. When we came back from the walk we ordered roasts & drinks and it was served in good time. I loved that they had shandy right on the menu, didn't have to go to the bar to order it special, especially in this heat.
The roasts were great value and so delicious. Well worth making the drive for a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

Not been there for a while. It was really nice and relaxing food looked amazing. Only had drink this time. Really pretty venue. There was also a wedding reception there which h also looked amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back there again. Relaxing atmosphere and garden facilities catered for Little ones and dogs

A very popular venue and very busy when we arrived. However, very friendly staff managed to find us a table, service was excellent and great food. Well worth a visit with space outside next to the canal.

Wonderful pub, well-located for nearby walks. Super dog-friendly with blankets, bowls and treats. The Sunday menu features classic roasts (included a great veggie option) as well as a separate menu of non-roast mains. Everything was beautifully presented and service prompt and friendly. Well worth a visit!

Recently moved to the area and have been in here twice. It is a wonderful place with excellent, friendly staff and simply stunning food that is freshly prepared, served well and guarantees clean plates (and I'm a fan of meals in plates over roof slates or shovels!!). All the staff are fantastic; polite, friendly, professional and attentive without being intrusive (Roz is a particular family fave).

Tables are bookable online or on the phone with lots of options of seating and numbers or simply to pop in for the bar. If you go well, you'll be next to an open fire. Huge garden for summer seating right next to the Coventry canal.

Lots of options from the menu to suit all tastes and the dishes are all amazing. We've been through a good chunk of the menu now and nothing has disappointed. The signature burger and the lamb rack were particular favourites!

I can only say that if you're passing, don't. Pull into the spacious car park or lock the bike up at the door and get in there!

Friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere and homely interior. My husband and I hadn’t been for a few years and would definitely be back again. Managed to walk in at the start of a lunch time and get a table during a weekday even though it was busy. We had a lovely afternoon, thanks again.
